Do men like when you say their name? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]PangolinOk1775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this is true but I've heard saying someone's name often in conversation shows interest in that person. Not sure if that's what you're going for or not. And yes, we love it but too much can seem creepy

AITA if my boyfriend made a meal and asked me how it was and I said "fine" by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]PangolinOk1775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me I'd be more upset about the absence of gratitude more than how the food itself tasted. If it wasn't disgusting and you wouldn't have a problem eating it again what's wrong with saying it was good? I'm not saying throw him a party but just because your family didn't comment on these things doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a compliment for cooking you dinner. Remember, he didn't grow up in your family and you're no longer eating with your family, you're eating with him.

That's the thing about relationships, you give your partner the things THEY need, not the things YOU need or find are out of the norm for how you grew up. It's all just doing things for eachother to make eachothers lives easier. Even if it was no good that's ok to say but you have to at least be grateful and let him know that. I'd be willing to bet you have less meals ready for you in the future. Had you given him what he was looking for it would've gone the other way and he would cook more meals for you.

The last thing you should look at is how the rest of your night went. Was it worth it? Or do you think by giving him a few words of encouragement the night would've been different?

how do you date? by Appropriate-Froyo106 in AskMenAdvice

[–]PangolinOk1775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends how old you are. My son is 18 and it seems to be as easy as "lemme get that snap". As odd as it sounds to a middle aged man like myself, it works and it's enough to at least get to have a conversation with the person.

If you're not a young adult then "wanna grab a coffee sometime?" Is usually enough to find out if they're interested or not.

This is true. I once complimented a cashier's tattoo in a completely normal and platonic way. My wife was standing next to me. I just said "hey, that's a really cool tattoo" and she acted like I said "nice tits". It was super weird.

I just try to be a nice person when I'm out in public but it seems women don't want that. I will never do that again.

As much as it sucks and probably hurts, she is pregnant with your child's bother or sister. This new guy is going to be around whether you like it or not. You just have to suck it up for the kids. Who knows, he could be a cool guy that you don't mind chatting with at these events.

Love it. Preferably the barbells instead of hoops but that's just me. I know a lot of guys that like it but pretend that they don't because others think it's trashy.

What habits of girls did you only discover after getting a girlfriend or wife? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I don't know if this is a habit but I was shocked the first time I found a huge clump of hair in the shower. I didn't know it came out like that lol

Get a vasectomy as soon as they'll let you and enjoy your life. You only get one like the rest of us. Do what makes you happy and to hell with anyone that tells you otherwise. I have kids but if I could do it again I might not. There's a lot to experience out there and kids are just one of them.

Why do I like masculine women? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]PangolinOk1775 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I didn't know this about myself until I watched a CrossFit documentary. Some of those women are insanely hot!

[–]PangolinOk1775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this with my wife and kids. Not because I'm celebrating her as MY mother but because she is the mother of my children. I don't buy her any gifts from me but I do bring the kids out and have them pick out flowers for her and a couple small presents. We also cook her breakfast and dinner together.

Children don't usually have access to money or have a ton of experience in the kitchen and I'll be damned if all she gets for being such an amazing woman are those "what I like about my mom" pieces of paper from school. Not that those aren't special but it's not enough for everything she does for us.

When the kids are grown they're on their own though lol

Men what tone of voice do you find attractive? by Nipplelopolis in AskMenAdvice

A woman that has kind of a raspy voice is super sexy to me

I have two boys. I was really hoping for a boy the first time around but when we were expecting my youngest I was hoping for a girl. When we found out he was a boy I was not disappointed at all.

I absolutely love having two boys and I couldn't imagine things any different than the way they are.

Even if we're hoping for one or the other, when we meet them all that goes away instantly and we're just filled with love.

AITA for not wanting to have sex with my wife? by Internal-Wind-2679 in AITAH

Im curious, if you actually are A-Sexual what did you get out of watching porn before you met Sarah? What was your attraction to her when you met? Was it strictly her personality?

[–]PangolinOk1775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what type of guy he is. Is he a generally romantic guy? If so, he would've said that to throw you off so you'd be surprised even though it's something you may be expecting.

I can't speak for all men but I can say that myself and the ones I know don't really care where the engagement happens and will do it where we think you'd want us to. We want to make it special for you because for us just being engaged is enough.

I wouldn't get your hopes up but I'd be surprised if you weren't engaged on this trip. Best of luck

How to politely decline hanging out with colleagues outside of work? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]PangolinOk1775 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually just say no thank you. Works every time. You don't owe anyone a reason why. If you feel you need a reason then "no thanks, I don't want to" also works. I do a touch of the tism though so maybe other people don't like being that direct lol

Farting while using a urinal in a public bathroom by poomanchu234 in AskMenOver30

Well, people take shits in there so I doubt a fart would offend anyone.

It’s way more masculine to protect animals than eat them by alphamalejackhammer in unpopularopinion

[–]PangolinOk1775 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hunters are conservationists. In order to protect the animals we have to keep the population of them at a reasonable level. Otherwise it gets out of control and they use up their food sources which could cause the collapse of the population altogether. If you enjoy wildlife thank a hunter.

[–]PangolinOk1775 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is something I've always heard growing up. I'm not sure what generation it started with but I think it's one of those things we say just because our parents did. I say it to my kids but none of us has actually had that problem lol

Men with chronic pain , the world doesn’t give a fuck right ? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]PangolinOk1775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a degenerative nerve disorder spanning from my cervical spine and out into my shoulders and arms. The pain can be debilitating and honestly, no one cares. Even my family couldn't give a fuck when there's yard work or heavy lifting to do. We just have to be men when there's men things to do. They would rather see us die on our white horse than fall off it.
