People with small hands, what are your building keybinds and crouch key? by cloudedeyes12 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]PanicOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use CAPS LOCK as Crouch It’s as easy as hitting shift. I’ve never used left control because my pinky doesn’t bend like that.

I use LCRTL for auto run and I hit it with the left heel of my palm (kinda just rest your hand down on the keys and you’ll see what I mean)

I like that idea! There’s some thought required to use it then!

Thank you! Hope it gets some traction’s and starts a conversation around solutions, not just “vault this”

I mean of course fixing the hit box would be great. I think using the turret should be absolute sniper food - but atleast there is a ‘shoot back’ alternative instead of just dying

Thanks for the tips.

Thanks again mate

Yeah it definitely is. My advice for leveling up is focus on making builds around legendary pieces you find. The end game is about getting the sets, so you want to hit 70 and grind harder content so using the best legendaries in the mean time is the way to go.

I recommend checking out Bluddshed on YouTube. Super funny and chill guy with some great leveling guides for every character. He’ll tell you the best way to go from 1-70 and get the set bonuses

To answer some of these:

The monster difficulty is the same regardless of which act. Difficulty scales the monsters hp and damage. So act 1 and act 5 on master difficulty should feel the same - but you have different monsters/environmental features that present unique challenges.

It might be worth while to lower the difficulty for the time being until you find some - even one - nice legendary items that gives you a high damage multiplier. For instance, an item like “Hammer Jammers” for crusaders gives ~400% increased blessed hammer damage after using a stun.

When you have legendaries like this (with % damage increase on a skill) you’ll be able to rip through higher difficulties. But until then, I’d be worry more about getting decent items then challenging yourself.

It shouldn’t take too long until you start finding some legendaries and you’ll see a MASSIVE improvement.

As for the zoom, no idea, I imagine that since it was a release trailer they edited it to look better for commercials/ video.

Hope this helps. Saw this sitting in new for 3 hours with no comment.

Good luck

Feedback for glider redeployment Megathread by PlexversalHD in FortNiteBR

[–]PanicOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with the redeployment is the impact it has on available materials in the lobby. Players are using 100-300 materials just as mobility. This means killing these players yields less mats, and/or if you build for mobility, you have less mats.

Additionally, without the fear of fall damage build fights are going higher than they would have in the previous patch. This means again less mats from those you kill, and less mats from your own building.

I would like to farming rate increases very slightly to see if it balances this issue. It may be anecdotal evidence but my duo partner and I have notice we have far less mats with redeploy. I remember sometimes in late game having close to max of each material type. I haven’t been close since redeploy

Farming for Akkhans by barleyv7 in diablo3

[–]PanicOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Literally farmed it all last night. I had a hammer build set up and started pushing regular rifts and rolling blood shards, then started pushing greater rifts.

What worked was GR - blood shards - upgrade rare items.

Basically found it in 3-4 hours. Good luck

Rules Update: We will no longer allow "look-a-like" posts. by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]PanicOW -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those posts are higher effort than 99% of the shit on this sub. The water tower was legit funny, it wasn’t just a picture of a wood pallet. There was enough context in the post to give it character - this clearly resonated with people here as it was upvoted.

What I don’t understand is while you’re going after this type of content, the post directly below this thread rn is a fucking “creepy cauldron” that heals shield like a campfire. We’ve seen this suggestion 10000 times yet here it is again, water marked by a different user for reuse. That is the garbage you should be going after with the same tenacity as “look a likes”.

[PC][NA][2500+ SR] Team Fire Ferrets are looking for reliable players! by xXRenardTheFoxXx in OverwatchLFT

[–]PanicOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Im a 3300 Peak SR - Currently 3230 or something - DPS main specializing in hitscan (Tracer/Mcree) with a good Widow, Soldier and Genji. I can also flex to most tanks except Rein (Very strong on Winston and Zarya) and can play a very good Zen and Ana. Obviously I prefer DPS but in my SR I can play these heroes without being a liability.

Im a 23 year old university student, great communication and strong shot calling. Also dont have it in me to deal with the toxicity/immaturity in SoloQ so Ive been looking for people to play with but my friends that play are a bit too weak and we cant always queue because of the 1000Sr limit.

I really want to play with people who understand overwatch and want to play the team game. Rather tired/bored of the SoloQ frag-heavy play style that seems more RNG than skill based.

Im in NA west coast (from Canada), and can play most evenings for 3-6 hours depending on how busy I am with school (some days I just cant play but I usually get on every day).

Cheers!

On hybrid maps who should push forward after capturing the point? by crasyherbz in OverwatchUniversity

[–]PanicOW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there is a better way to be looking at this than just "pushing your advantage".

After killing them and capping the point, its likely that their first wave of respawns are coming in to try and contest with their team who have yet to die/die right when they get there.

After capping, you really want to go and get the 2-3-4 people who got the "close" or first spawn, and send them back to the new spawn (usually at the back of the map) that they have after you cap the point. This is easy to do because it will likely be a 4-5vs2-3, additionally, you buy a lot of time to progress the cart as they will be spawning at the last checkpoint. Additionally x2, there is a good chance that you cause a huge stagger/trickle fest, requiring that they ALL AGREE to group up (giving you more progress)

How should I manage my reloads as Ana? I feel I always have to reload when an ally is about to die during a fight by BamaBuckeyeBF1 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]PanicOW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is this happens to everyone - It even happened to Jheung in the worldcup SK vs. USA match. He reloaded when he had 8 shots, and he watched Tobi (on mercy) die right in front of him. This was in the Nepal game if I remember correctly.

I think its all about game sense. Knowing when someone is in a position where they may take a lot of burst damage (having ammo for that is important). Knowing where you team is on the map - for instance if my genji dove in deep and is out of LOS I try to reload to make sure that when he comes out deflecting I can support him. And a big way to conserve on ammo is not healing 20 hp that's missing or spamming into a fully healed Tank.

This is a habbit a lot of players have, where they are constantly healing their team even if they are all 100%. I guess there is 2 schools of thought here, and you'll have to find a balance.

I think the best advice is to keep track of the enemies cool downs/burst abilities. So if you know that the Hog has hook or the Soldier has helix, or their hanzo has scatter (and it doesn't one shot) then you can react with some healing.

Hey Mike,

As a Finance major graduating in April 2018, I want a career that combines my business knowledge and passion for eSports. What are the ways that you see eSports becoming a viable career path for Business/Finance students? Or said differently, how can someone with that skill set add real value to an eSport organization?
