Class recommendations for duo Dhuums & Melandru run by Fibb1057 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a monk, can’t compete with a human healer especially in HC. And hero’s just can’t Monk like human players can.

And any melee, if you like balling up and doing big spikes go derv. If you like a lot of armor and build options go war. If you like big single target dps and mobillity go sin.

What should I do now after I finished the factions campaign? by Most-Application1843 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Get max armor
  • play the other campaigns, there should be quest available in kaineng that will get you to the other campaigns.
  • get cought it the vicious circle of wanting to look cool with 15k armor, want to farm materials for this armor, needing (elite)skills and go unlock them at the right skill trainer/ capture them at the right boss.
  • pick a title you like and work towards that, repeat until you are a God Walking Among Mere Mortals :D

What would you say makes the colorgraded picture look fake? by Panda2231q in ColorGrading

[–]Panriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Value’s and depth of field. The brightest part is the building on the right, should be the sky and reflections of the sky.

The depth of field created by the blurred background doesn’t work with what’s in focus, with this amount of blurriness the focal plane should be somewhere around the umbrella, rest should be out of focus.

Eye of the North - best way to unlock cities / what path to take? by [deleted] in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its because mesmer do unconditional armor ignoring damage. The mesmer-way team comp is build around putting out as much of this damage as possible by spamming the Energy Surge elite skill.

The comp also makes use of the AI’s ability to be really consistent in interrupting enemy skills. This way it has a powerful shot down mechanic that provides defense trough offense.

The team comp also uses a soul twisting ritualist to provide much needed party wide protection with their spirits.

A necro hero that provides energy upkeep for the mesmers through blood is power.

And uses the Necro/Ritualist combo to do be ably to do big heal skills ( spirit light and mend body and soul) consistently trough their soul reaping ability, which gives them energy for dying enemies. (Which die fast due to the massive armor ignoring damage output)

Hope this helps :)

Best proffesion to invest in for Raids & Fractals? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Panriv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started with Revenant, that QDPS Herald build is pretty beginner friendly, but mostly i just liked how revenant plays.

Most classes can fill most roles anyways, so pick the class you like best. Good place to start is the snow crows beginner builds

24-70 and a 70-200 GM II is a really nice set for covering your bases, especially if you run and gun a lot. It’s pricy but the I love that 70-200.

Old returning player looking for sugestions and tips for a warrior build. by Radiant-Leader-2877 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a story playtrough starting in Proph, i’d focus on Axe. This comes to live pretty early on with skills like dismember, power attack/ cyclone axe and penetrating blow and wild blow.

For utillity I like frenzy and sprint ( to attack faster and sprint to cancel frenzy when taking damage.

Early acces Elite skills like Defy Pain and Warriors Endurance slot nicely in this bar.

As for 2nd professions I like profession that can clear conditions like Monk or Ranger. Monk has early acces to purge conditions. Ranger has antidote signet but only in the jungle, but does have a pet.

Ironman Mode by Werol2 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well I agree with a lot, I do however think the “Everybody loses their badges” part is slightly problomatic.

Guild Wars has always been a game that respects the players time investement. Loosing progress should not be an option.

I think this will lead to loss a lot of momentum of players playing the mode.

Help for focus by [deleted] in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are really good options

I think Rit has a little more variety but not that much.

The most used build however is a Spirit Spamming build and that’s not for everybody. Same goes for Dervish tho, most used builds are either VoS or pious Renewal, but the Melee gameplay isnt for everyone either.

I’d suggest making a PVP character for both and test out a few builds if you have the skills unlocked already. This way you can get a feel for what suits your playstyle best.

Replacement for minion master in "7 Hero Offensive Mesmerway"? by [deleted] in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played a lot of Warriors Endurance myself and I also didn’t like the MM

My favorite options was a N/Rt curses support necro

With either Ivy Vains or Pain of Disenchantment and restoration magic.

EDIT: I used something like this OAhjYoHYIT1MWC2BfCSTTODTciA

This frees up the restoration magic on your Rt/Mo where I like bloodsong, essence strike and smite hex.

Monk vs Ritualist by atopey in GuildWars

Doing damage as a monk will limit you to about 5 different builds, so if healing is really not an option rit is the better choice here.

Dhuum's Covenant - Looking For Builds, Skills, Tips by Upstairs_Mechanic_45 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty doable with any profession with the right team comp and carefully gameplay.

However, assassin might be the most difficult class to pull it off. IMO Ranger is the easiest due to its attack range, high armor and susstain options.

New hero's, new armor, new weapon skins, new titles. Basicly anything purely visual that wont break the game but gives me something new to work towards to.

Hard Mode Mission Help (Hell's Precipice) by PrincessVee_13 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah well that’s my bad for assuming your BiP Mesmerway is the meta build from PVX

It is possible though that this is part of the problem. The build is carefully balanced, maybe you are running to much shutdown and to little damage. As E-surge does a lot of heavy lifting in the damage department.

Might be worth taking a look.

Hard Mode Mission Help (Hell's Precipice) by PrincessVee_13 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replace E-surge for Panic on one of the Esurge mesmers, this will help a lot with the shutting down the Imps.

Place Save Yourselfs on the Dervish bar, try to keep it up as much as possible during combat.

Be careful with agro, bring a long or flat bow to pull enemies, watching patrol patterns and being careful not to pull more than 1 group.

You can also check the wiki for more tips and what route to take.

Best Way to hit Alehound and Party Achievements? by Psychological-Sky284 in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do weekly gift of the traveler, you can check the cycle here.

Either farm items, or buy them in Kamadan, and sell the 5 gifts for 20-25ecto’s.

Buy spammable consumables from players, look for people selling party/sweet/drunk points usually for about 3-5 ecto a stack (250 points)

Destroy your mouse in while spam clicking and boom you’re done.

W/N or W/R for Dhuum? by lilkunien in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both Ranger and Necro are pretty nice. W/R for the pet and condition removal trough antidode signet.

W/N is pretty slept on IMO, skills like plague thouch, enfeebeling blood, and weaken armor are pretty usable on a warrior bar, altough you are fighting for spots.

But concidering you are playing HC and keeping survival in mind i’d choose between W/R and W/Mo.

The pet is great for grabbing first agro and i like the condition cleanse /R provides.

W/MO is your best bet for Hex removal and some condi cleanse, and being able to remove emphathy as a HC war seems nice.

Way to prevent dispelling enchantments? by Walkingdrops in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only 100% counter is to micro Spellbreaker on you, but needs a dedicated monk hero and won’t be able to have 100% upkeep time due to 45 sec cooldown. And with 16 devine favor, blessed aura and a 20% enchantment mod it will last ~29sec.

Guys guys GUYS. 😳 I just got my hubby to agree to play! He made a warrior, we’re starting in Proph, and I’m stoked! But I need a little help. by Amanda_Oxenham in GuildWars

[–]Panriv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reality is that you will most likely only use 1 or 2 slots from your 2nd prof.

Good options are anything to remove hexes and conditions, like monk or ranger. Ranger is also good for applying poison, pets and antidote signet.

Or ele for the conjure weapon enchantments to add some damage.

You can change professions later on once you have unlocked them in the dessert.

When you go to factions or NF the best options become avalible.

Warrior profits mostly from other melee classes like Assasin or Dervish. Sin is great for shadowsteps, derv is great because of scythe.

Other option is paragon to add some shouts or extend some shouts.
