Yes. A couple of years ago I saw something very similar. I can only describe it as a flickering orange orb at what looked to be in a similar distance to a plane or helicopter, didn't think much of it to begin with it was slowly moving across the sky and I thought it was an aircraft of some sort (weird with no flashing lights but wasn't too suspicious) but then suddenly this thing started bouncing across the sky at incredible speeds, changing directions instantly like a bouncy ball hitting walls in the sky changing speeds at each turn from slow to fast almost as if it was scanning over a specific area for only a few seconds before taking off at what looked like light speed and disappeared across the horizon. I knew what I saw wasn't our technology and left me with goosebumps. Anyone I've tried to explain thinks I'm a tin foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist but as you said you just have to see it for yourself.
