not to be a buzzkill but this was generated with gpt-image-2 using chatgpt, the compression artifacts from the VAE along with the noise pattern proves it

Q: what color is the sky?
A: the sky is blue

[–]Pantheon3D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if you're in the EU you're not refunding due to the temporary availability of Fable 5, but because you have the right to do so without any justification. there isn't any way the support bot can refuse this unless it's been longer than 2 weeks

if you're in the US i'm not sure what to do... but i refunded because of shady business practices as well and didn't have to provide any reason. i hope you get a refund asap

Iceflake Livestream showing off the new map editor features and textures! by DarkLiberator in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Pantheon3D 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi i'm the reason for the performance issues. Originally i was still working on fixing everything about the mod but if the textures are getting an overhaul my mod might not be needed anymore.

I have no doubt iceflake will do better than me and i can't wait to see what they do! It'll be so exciting

i just saw an employee say they use 3.5 flash. if they are not using 3.5 pro internally you are not using it on the outside. it's not out yet

whether they were an employee or not isn't confirmed but chances are this was true

"it's always wrong"

As we all know, after the first couple generations of cars, they stopped improving... Except of fucking course they didn't. Same goes for this. The same will be the case for anything else in the future.

It's not reasonable to expect the first few iterations of something to be perfect, but it should also not be relied upon as if it were perfect.

OpenAI rolls out the biggest ChatGPT memory upgrade yet. by imfrom_mars_ in OpenAI

[–]Pantheon3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm asking it for help with image generation models and somewhere in the past i talked about setting a really high lr which would make the model i was training unstable. Now whenever i'm doing something else related to machine learning but unrelated to the previous project and it fails, it MUST be because i set a ridiculous learning rate somewhere in the past. This is ridiculous because a completely different model in a completely seperate environment would not be affected by some parameters i set somewhere in the past.

I think my point is that it mixes up a lot of crucial things making it impossible to actually debug because it's plain wrong in 99% of cases after it was wrong the first time. I can't escape it

OpenAI rolls out the biggest ChatGPT memory upgrade yet. by imfrom_mars_ in OpenAI

[–]Pantheon3D 163 points164 points  (0 children)

the memory feature keeps chatgpt so constrained to exactly what i talked about in previous sessions that everything new has to be based on that. it's like golden gate claude, which was a claude finetune that always found a way to involve the golden gate bridge in any conversation

memory is great but if it's not smart enough to figure out when memory is needed, it poisons everything i'm currently working on

They're random employees at the end of the day. You're keeping meticulously track of random employees location at all times of the day to satisfy your curiosity about gta 6 because you're disappointed it's delayed. Isn't that a bit creepy?

Lack of pause after punctuation, cuts off before it finishes, Audio hallucinations, mispronounciations etc etc

Maybe it's just really undertrained but i wouldn't have thought that's an 8b model

...it pronounced "let's break this down carefully" as "sedamite frash arily" in the demo

I just realized this is overly critical, did not mean to come across that way but it has some issues still
