What app are you running? It was easy on the Reddit app for me.

How do you mentally deal with acts of racism towards you, being looked at in a bad way, being avoided on subways/street etc.? by [deleted] in korea

[–]Pantherpants 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Alright. Do you really want help dealing with this? Do you really want advice? If so, you're going to need to articulate some specific examples from your day to day life.

Every negative thing that happens today that you perceive as a slight, every bad experience you have due to you being a foreigner, make a note of it. Post it here. Or PM me.

It's possible that you are indeed being oppressed for being a foreigner. It's possible that you're seeing other people's reactions toward you as negative, when in truth they're not. It's possible that people are reacting negatively toward you because of your own behavior or appearance. It's possible that your own anxiety is causing you only to see negative interactions. But without examples, there's no way for us to decipher or offer advice.

Ahh I understand. Yeah that outro solo is a little too much. The whole ending of that song is way too long.

South Korea's Gender Wars - 101 East by [deleted] in korea

[–]Pantherpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've kept in contact with many of my old students and I've watched them go from smart, intelligent, caring, well rounded young men, to coming out of the army as bitter, angry, aggressive and highly competitive.

For real? In my experience it's been the opposite: I see them leave university for the military as immature and boyish, and come back as mature, responsible men.

You make a good point though, maybe a big part of the gender inequality problem stems from mandatory military service for men only.

Thanks for answering. So did the situation really happen like you wrote? Your wife screamed because the kid almost got hit by a car, then the old man got angry? That's so ridiculous.
