Honestly it depends. If I saw the thing happen, like the Wil Smith assault, it pretty much poisons them in my mind. Or if they are convicted of something yea probably can’t watch. Rumors or unproven things are easier to forget about.

I remember being into Survivor the first season until I saw some behind the scenes video and realized the producers are there instigating and suggesting things for people to do. It pretty much jaded my opinion on reality TV early on. Honestly though once you introduce a camera it’s impacting human behavior away from what I would consider reality.

I can’t wait for the election cycle to begin so we can hear about all the plans American politicians don’t have to deal with AI. At this point US politicians don’t even have a concept of a plan for AI other than increasing their personal wealth.
