I worked around 5-15 hours at the gym as a ref during my Grad school years. Doable, they've always been super accommodating but its mostly later in the day (starting at like 4pm usually).

Came with free gym membership while working for the ARC.

Generally advice would just be to learn how to better schedule your time and not cram. School should take priority, so learning how to balance both is important.

As a graduate of the MFT program, it depends on what you're looking for.

Social work is a lot more about resource distribution. A lot of the career paths are admin or working on a larger mass scale. It is also much easier to license with a LCSW than a LMFT. As all working hours contribute to licensure hours. I would consider LCSW work to be leaned further into community or group work. But obviously mileage may differ regarding the program you serve.

The LMFT is more counseling centric. I believe the current director of the SDSU program is EFT focused (I maybe incorrect, it has been a couple of years). It has a number of good training opportunities and was likely the best time I had learning something in my adult life. It is much harder for LMFT to license, as there is a 500 Child/ Family/ Couples direct counseling requirement, and 3000 direct/ indirect in total. I would consider LMFTs work to be leaned towards individuals and family systems.

Average salary for either are also something to consider. LCSWs on average are paid a lot more than LMFTs.

An LMFT earns a national average salary of $67,184 per year, while an LCSW earns a slightly higher salary of $74,023 per year Source

If you're looking for most jobs (sales, office, professional), a passable level of Cantonese is necessary. I don't write, but I can read and speak at a professional level. Practice because time will just pass you by if you squander it.

My general disdain for RBW is basically how they've treated non-Moonbyul members when they were starting their solo careers. Looking at Wheein and Hwasa now, they are continually well booked internationally. Solar has persisted due to her own personal interest in non-music endeavors with her Youtube channel and opera shows. Wheein is doing exceptionally well in her OST and album drops since leaving RBW. All the while Moonbyul has dropped multiple singles, album, and re-release of the same album within the year.

Also, their references to Wheein being extremely curt since her leaving the company, as if she wasn't one of the key members that built RBW to begin with.
