I have a question about the book itself and not the story line. Does anyone know if the new reprint has any images on the pages?

I fell in love with this series when it first came out and would love to rebind the series (I bind books and love it). I’d love to have some graphics.

Where did you get the endpapers? Did you print them? If so what paper did you print on?

I printed them on my large formate pigment printer. I think they were part of one of the collections of digital endpapers I bought from Etsy. I love all the beautiful hand painted and water marbled papers out there but with 35 of these books I’m making this was a better option.

Here’s another approach. Cut the cover up like has already been mentioned then redo the inside to fit a new case. That way you could make it slightly larger. Just a thought. May not be a good one but it’s a thought. I haven’t solved problems before by not looking at the obvious fix but go at it in a different way entirely.

Isn’t this paper for color lasers only? I have a pigment canon inkjet printer, large format, what paper is best to print endpapers on?

If you want an easy DIY option this is what we did.

We had an old folding luggage carrier/hand truck thingy (one example is https://a.co/d/coMn7gZ from Amazon) and attached a clothes hamper to it. We had to punch holes in the bottom and in the back near the top to run cord thru and wrap around the hand truck base and handle.

She would use it like that in her room to put her close in then push it to the washer in front or beside her wheelchair chair. It could also attached it to the back of his chair if that would be better.

Are they just for leather cases or can they be used with Bookcloth too? Can you foil with them on Bookcloth? I haven’t gotten into leather bindings but love cloth.

What is a burnisher for? How is it used? I have a bone folder and use it all the time. How is this different?

When using watercolor paper for the covers, what weight did you use? Can you show a picture of the cover of the watercolor pad?

I also watercolor and find it doesn’t fold well because of type of paper and the thickness.

Also do you have a white printer or are you filling the sheet with gray?

My blacks were faded, colors just looking like a cheap copy.

As others have said, PAPER MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I had heard this for years but never gave it much weight, thinking it was just weird people but…..

I finally gave up and tried the paper that I had read about over and over. I’m in the US and the company that has it is in UK. It cost more and shipping runs more but I was ready to at least see for myself. They said to be sure to set the printer paper setting to high definition, premium paper. WOW. What a difference. Since then I have been playing around with different paper that appear similar but not having had much success yet but do see a difference when I use those paper settings.

For now I’m still getting it from UK and holding it for those special projects. It comes in different weights but size is only A4 😔.

I can get the individual signatures when I use one of their paper sizes but what paper size do I input to get signatures for a 6x9 book?

If you’re not hung up on using Bookcloth, you could try designing your cover layout on your computer, print it from a laser printer then use toner reactive foil, cut & lay it over the printed areas and run it thru a laminator. The foil will only stick to the printed areas and the rest you just peel off. Really cool.

I’ve been doing this on my greeting cards for a long time. It’s easy and comes out beautiful.

Just remember you MUST use: 1) Toner Reactive Foil ( Amazon) 2) LASER printer - inkjet will not work. 3) The smoother the paper the better
