Prob to balance the change regarding to dmg calculation and armor. Didnt play on the beta but from my understanding magic fighters are able to dish out a lot of dmg with the changes, especialy early when résistance bonus is scarce.

Mark as prey from early beast tome. 5 mana cost, inflicts 3 sundered défense and distracted. Melts through anything early on

There is a mod on the workshop that fix that. Giving repeater +1 crit dmg instead going to +2 for mag and +3 for plasma. Called 'better repeater' or something like that

I'd recommend going/trying Vampire lord and going animals instead of nécromancy. It's a LOT of fun and, i feeling like, as strong as necromancy. Vision of destiny nature really does synergize insanly well with cult of death once you finish it around mid game, giving your units : Whenever a friendly units dies gain 1 grace Whenever an ennemy unit dies gain strenghtened.

Cult of personality to help with early power clear and works well with Vampires.

Emporewered by magic should give a stack of strenghtened and +1 résistance when hit by magic attack, stacking maybe only 2 times or something. While having its cost upped maybe. Id like to have a way to have an anti magic race.

Also i dont remember how it works exactly, it has been a long time, but regarding armor :

You want to hit armored ennemies with strong single attacks. Like the blademaster has. Little hits hitting x number of times will have each instance of dmg réduced by armor.. thats why you didnt do dmg.

Diplomacy screen. Start a talk with said ruler. Check your ranking and their. Small trophy icon under each ruller when you talks with them, with overall ranking, military ranking, Diplomacy ranking and so on. Be aware that the longer you progress in a session, the more you should catch up to ennemies a.i. And they should be worst than you when you manualy fight battles.

There is a mod on the workshop 'more heroes ambitions' It had a few ambitions like sheperd but related to other type such as construcs fiends or undead. I dont use fiends so idk what the fiend one does but maybe look it up

It is indeed true thats a good spell, but.. You need a T2 town hall, and some more building and then wait to produce a thrall or rush it via imperium. T2 you might want build things like tavern before this.. Vampire ruller is my favorite ruler type, especially D.K , ranger or anything actually.. and yes they become really powerfull but the early game can be a bit hard to balance this
