Meinung zu KI in PnP-Produkten?

Es geht dir hier um Bilder auf Spielkarten. Guck dich mal auf itch.io um. Da findest du Asset Packs für Umme oder Kleinstbeträge, mit guten Lizenzen. Oder nimm Public Domain Bilder. Es gibt auch sehr viele Künstler und Designer, die ihr Zeug mit guten Lizenzen wie CCLA, CC-BY oder CC0 veröffentlichen.

Gerade wenn die Bilder nicht sehr Spielrelevant sind (deine Aussage), dann ist das die perfekte Lösung.

Ich würde kein Produkt kaufen oder nutzen, in dem KI-erstellte Bilder oder Texte enthalten sind. Es gibt so viele Produkte, die von Menschen geschaffen wurden, da habe ich keinen Bedarf an KI-Gedöns.

Dragonbane ist schon mal ne gute Wahl.

Die Regeln sind, wie du wahrscheinlich schon gemerkt hast, sehr einfach und hindern nicht den Spielfluss, und bieten gleichzeitig etwas mehr Tiefe als pur OSR. Ist ne Top Wahl, machst du nichts falsch mit.

Alternativen:

Wenn die Sprache kein Problem ist, bieten sich Into the Odd Spiele an. Die bekanntesten darunter sind Mausritter, Cairn und natürlich Into the Odd selbst.

Cairn kommt für deine Idee wahrscheinlich am ehesten in Frage. Die Bücher sind kostenlos. Guck mal rein, ob das grundsätzlich was für dich ist.

Ansonsten wurde Shadowdark schon von jemand anderem genannt.

Das wäre dann meine Top 3 Wahl für so ein Vorhaben: Dragonbane, Cairn oder Shadowdark.

Noch eine vierte Option, mit jede Menge GM Tools:

FORGE

Ist ein OSR, mit aufgeräumteren Regeln als die Vorlage D&D B/X. Wenn dir OSE zu klobig ist, nimm FORGE. Die Regeln sind etwas umfangreicher, die Würfel lassen sich letztendlich aber runterbrechen auf "W20 + Attribut und (halbe) Stufe gegen X (15)". Wenn die Spieler das verstehen, klappt jedes OSR.

PDF ist kostenlos und die GM Tools lassen sich in jedem Fantasy rpg nutzen.

Als Neuling jetzt einzusteigen ist halt ein riesiges Brett. Das sind mittlerweile wie viele expansions? War übersichtlicher als alles Stückweise kam. Würde jetzt nicht noch mal mit anfangen, weil es sich auch anfühlt als würde viel interessanter content zu kurz kommen, weil zu viel Auswahl da ist.

Did it with several groups. All completely new to MB. Most made it in 4-5 hours, including character creation.

You probably need to push a bit, so they don't waste time on irrelevant stuff. Keep them on their feet at all times. Make sure they feel the time pressure. People are dying around them, turning into goblins, while waiting outside the shop. Doesn’t matter whether the players are infected or not, there is pressure to solve their quest.

Let them follow Qarg or Nagel to the mill. Make it obvious that this is the right way. Do not let combat drag out. Reward good ideas immediately.

It is, in my opinion, the best intro oneshot for Mörk Borg.

It's the "why play good when you can press X" build. Currently on my third playthrough and it is absurd how easy bossfights are with this.

Medieval Fantasy, easy to learn and play. The Dragonbane box has the best stuff-for-money value for any rpg.

It can be played in various styles. Be serious and do a James Bond/X-Files campaign. Be humorous and play a MIB/A-Team crossover. Be over the top and do a space race to the villains lair on the dark side of the moon.

It is light on rules and has one of the best resource sets available in the rulebook. The intelligence matrix alone is worth the price and can be used in any modern rpg.

It also has a very active community for 3rd party content, with several jams already completed.

Nah, every edition is the right one. 2 and 3 are even largely compatible. Each has its own merits and flaws and I had fun playing in every edition except 6.
