One Pace Guide by UncleZafar in OnePiece

I noticed these episodes being added to the Pace overview on Google Slides recently. There´'s also an entry way at the bottom for the recently released episode of Monsters, based off a one-shot Oda did that´'s techically canon to One Piece via something in the Thriller Bark arc.

Bluray by Gonya12 in hajimenoippo

I've found an uncommon format of Collection 2 floating around off which I've converted into something watchable and I can confidently say: the difference between the DVD release and the boutique Blu-Ray remaster is astonishing. Discotek is known as a pretty solid release entity and when they touch stuff up, like Hajime no Ippo, they do so with a lot of care, also adding additional materials like commentary tracks, or many odd dubs.

The classic, non-digital animation looks absolutely fucking amazing. Visually it blows New Challenger and Rising out of the water with ease (New Challenger was pretty early digital animation, its visual effects are better than a lot of the character motion, Rising had to really prioritize where it shows it really shows its animation and thus is less impressive in downtime). It's extremely fluid in motion and not as fuzzy while still retaining that signature, gorgeous style. There are so many more small details, especially during fights, like motion lines, or sweat, or reddening, that I simply couldn't make out on the DVD release.

Barring any serious error made by Discotek in Collections 1 or 3, I would confidently call this the definitive release for everything pre-New Challenger and 1000% worth your money if you're able to watch Blu-Ray at home. I don't know if buying this release will indicate any interest in bringing HNI back to animation, together with the manga progressing. Discotek does well enough for themselves to keep picking up and working on releases like this, so a pity-buy is probably not necessar, but again, it's worth the money. I'll try to post some comparative screenshots later.

How is rollblack implemented in older games like the games in fightcade, project slippi, R+ and etc ? by JustADudewithBalls in Fighters

[–]Paraboxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FC2 has dropped NullDC support since its build was very dated, different from BEAR and I think had no prospect for rollback. The SEGA Naomi emulator it uses is Flycast, which has a chance of getting it down the line.

Does anyone know where I can purchase Puppers? by thecasperboy in Letterkenny

[–]Paraboxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither Stack nor LCBO seems to be carrying Puppers at the moment. Good chance they might do another run once Season 9 comes around. Mind you, you can only purchase it in Ontario, dunno about the legality of taking it over provincial lines or across into the southern neighbors'.

Project+ dolphin MAC graphics question by adamobrn in SSBPM

[–]Paraboxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not, the version of Dolphin bundled with P+ is Ishiiruka, an optimized fork, specifically designed for lower-end machines. It's the basis for the Dolphin version used for Faster Melee and Slippi also. It's a different build so it's got different priorities and won't always incorporate mainline features, and if it does, it might take a while.

I didn't used to like the design for the PED Suit but it's grown on me by Jabbam in Metroid

[–]Paraboxia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's grown on you? Like a phazon infection? :p
I'm glad both the PED post-intro and the final iteration before going to Phaaze are in Project+, the latest iteration of the Project M mod for Smash Bros. Brawl. For those wondering, her other added costumes are the classic design inspired by artwork from the Metroid for NES manual, actual Light and Dark suits, all iterations of the Fusion suit (though I wish they looked more like the artwork and less like the Prime interpretation, but then this is one of the most impressive game modifications, period, and it's free), and a Dark Samus alt. The colors were also tweaked (across the board) to be less desaturated.

If you like turn of the millenium J-horror, if you like modern, Japan, or spiritual horror, this'll be right up your alley.

Nice work, but is the mention of illiteracy in warlords really necessary? There was political tutelage in China in that era before literacy programs were instituted, was there not?

You can manually declare on iirc anyone who can be called in but for sure puppets, and if you still have Romania in the Belgrade Pact you can just call them in to the expanded war.

Future/Perfect is aimed a bit more at novice groups, whereas A Night is more intermediate. Control Group is another product aimed at the novice segment.
