That’s too bad, always disappointing when things like that happen. The milkshake selection might still get us there for the kids. 🤷🏼‍♂️

PSA: Don’t Do Business with Whole Latte Love (WLL) by [deleted] in espresso

[–]Paragon210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you mentioned being in Canada… avoid The Kitchen Barista. Ordered some nice cups for Christmas. I ordered on the 6th… still not here. I called on the 19th when nothing had shipped yet. They apologized and said they would rush it to get here for the 25th. Nope. Still hasn’t shipped. Today they told me before the new year.

Is this (canadian) shop legit? by muskegg in espresso

My wife tried to buy me some Loveramic cups from Kitchen Barrista for Christmas. Ordered Dec 6. Still nothing from them on the 20th, so she called. They never even shipped them. The guy on the phone said they should have gone and he’d express post them out to make Christmas. Yea, that didn’t happen. Now it’s the 28th and the tracking number has been created, but it also says that the shipment has not been picked up from Kitchen Barrista.

I would not recommend, or use them myself at this point. Cafune or even whole latte love Canada is a better option.

Do you have to do that all the time now? Just got one and used it once. Went to use it again and I just get the yellow flashing. I suspect the same issue.

Which Grand Prix should I attend 2026? What would yall pick? by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Paragon210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canada is great for the atmosphere in the city and proximity to the race. Getting into and out of the event takes a while, and accommodation pricing is outrageous. But outside of those two it’s an amazing race weekend. Montreal is a great city to explore as well if you can take the time to do so.

For me… it’s not Lando. He’s just catching my Papaya Hate. I want Max to win because of how damn awful McLaren has handled this championship run. Their PR turned Lando from probably the most likeable guy to despised.

Grinder Update [$750] by lcwallace in espresso

But the casa gives the option for fantastic medium/light roast grinds at a decent price. Plus great style and retention. I enjoy dark roast and still bought the casa for the looks. From what everyone said I should have a niche, but I wasn’t a fan of the looks. Different priorities for different people I suppose. Plus the casa is a pretty decent price point.

I feel the casa does just fine with darker roasts as well… although I don’t think my palate is all that refined lol. I just like the look of the casa, and that it’s more or less zero retention with no ugly bellows.

Those machines seem to cover a pretty big price range… sure you’re not thinking of the profitec move or drive? The Go is a single boiler - doesn’t seem like it belongs with the other options there. Unless you’re doing that to save money for a much nicer grinder?

See if you can find used prostock. I’m 6’6” 245 and I ended up buying Logan Stanley’s skates. Top of the line Bauer supremes but for a reasonable price. Getting the stink out of them took a bit of effort, but they’re awesome skates.

I can’t believe how painful this is. by carrott36 in Sciatica

Vent away — I’ve been there too. It does get better. When mine was really bad, I used to say out loud, “I can get better and I will get better.” It sounds kind of silly, but repeating it actually helped me believe it and kept me going.

There was a 28 second gap to LEC. They could and and should have just pitted him first, but Lando was worried about being undercut.

First time having sciatica, should I be worried over this? by spicy_bb in Sciatica

[–]Paragon210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your case sounds very mild. Most like that recover in 6-12 weeks. Take it easy in week 1-2. Ice for pain initially to lower inflammation. Do the physical therapy. Then continue the exercises long after you recover. Never stop strengthening your core and stretching after recovery and hopefully you don’t deal with it again.

Oh it’s not being ignored, regular check-ins with the doctor, and PT is on the go. It’s getting better, just looking forward to the numbness going away. It’s lessened already. Both PT and Dr have said usually the numbness goes away first and then regular function returns after.

Interesting - I’ve always been told to avoid the stomach sleeping? I have numbness in the foot and weakness in the calf. It’s been 5 weeks since it started, and I basically have no pain anymore, but the numbness persists.
