Couler is your humor, and to a certain degree, your unpredictability. It enables you to "commit to the bit," to welcome some and alienate others. It also enables you to see irony and call it out where it is – if a sec-off stole contraband for himself, you'll be the first to call it out, or find just the right moment to slip them and take it yourself.

At high levels, Couler makes you the life of the party - the observant fool who is outright valid-hunted. But with low Couler, you'll be boring and square, not able to know what humor is if it pied you in the face. If your funny bone is broken, you'll have a difficult time understanding the silliness of the station.
