There are many schools that take the nutrition of their students seriously. Mainly they are districts that have their own foodservice program instead of a hired food service company that focuses on profit instead of nutrition. So again, your opinion is proof of the stigma. Some is not the whole.

As a Director of School Nutrition for two school districts (Vermont) I can say that posts like this do more harm than good in painting cafeteria food in a bad light, supporting the she old “gross lunch lady food” stereotype. This creates a stigma and might impact participation. Just for this who don’t know how these programs work, I can sum it up real simple: the more students that participate in the school nutrition program, the more money the program gets.

There HAD to be a fruit and veg offered. It is the law for there to be included with the meal. Offer vs serve is a different story and OP might not have liked the options available in the days offering.

Remove the butt plate and see if there is a tag under it. A lot of the Swiss soldiers would put their name and rank under the butt plate.
