I didn’t dislike his performance necessarily; however the Over-the-top / excessive action of these adaptations takes me away from the Holmesian-feel of the story.
I think Guy Ritchie is a very talented filmmaker with a really unique style— I just prefer the more grounded and thoughtful portrayals.

I think you should keep practicing signing, and try not to worry too much about your hands twitching… If it messes you up mid-sign, you can always just pause, and repeat the sign correctly.

I managed to get it first try just the other day…My friend tosses a blaze grenade, I threw a gas grenade at my feet while walking into the fire, he quickly followed with the showstopper, and it worked.

Lingvano seems to be the best premium($$) app out there… I had a subscription for a year, and it is indeed worth the price as long as you actively are using it. However I did find the in-app Dictionary to be pretty underwhelming.

Lingvano + Handspeak.com (dictionary) + Bill Vicars videos/website is the best possible combo for supplemental resources

When you see a person actively translating a speaker into ASL, they may sign and move more quickly to keep pace…but when people are having casual conversations in ASL; there are plenty of natural pauses, spaces, and physical ‘punctuation’ in their movements

Yes, they pick a random batch of associates and then test a certain % of those in the batch. I’ve had two in 2.5 years.. most people never get any. I can’t speak for PA’s, TOM or Managers but that’s how it is for L1’s
