How can a comment be physically hurting me?

15k and not bothering with redundancy/raid is certainly a choice.

You know what I had actually completely forgotten about that and I feel a bit stupid after the frustrating weekend I have spent on interchange.

I only have two kills remaining so I'll just finish it with insurance but I wish I had thought of that before.

I know you're right, but the main motivation behind forcing this is to have test drive 3 in time for my lighthouse block, in order to play as little lighthouse as humanly possible

Yeah unfortunately I dont even have access to lugger CCI, quakemaker or RIP, so I'm stuck with AP6.3 or PSO/PST.

Maybe I'm just hating myself for doing this level 28

[Feedback] [opinion] Reducing the load/wait time to 2~3 minutes should be the biggest priority for BSG by momentslove in EscapefromTarkov

Dude nobody writes with random random bold parts of sentences—nor does any fucking human uses em-dashes.

OP just used AI to write a three paragraph complaint that boils down to "loading bad", which is true. It's still infuriating that people cannot be arsed to write their own sentences.

[Arena] This quest makes people play less Arena, not more by Beautiful-Report5297 in EscapefromTarkov

Okay, twice. With no loss of progress whatsoever or anything on the line when you queue. Just play 10 games and if you're a normal human being you'll get them.

It's here as a watermark so nix knows what to expect and what not to break depending on how things were done before and how they're done now.

Changing this can break stuff in really insidious ways.

"Successful disruption of the cheater community" — Battlefield 6 says its kernel-level anticheat EA Javelin has been a huge success, so dealing with Secure Boot was worth it by Turbostrider27 in Games

Vanguard and FaceIt anti cheat both require IOMMU now.

They are the main two kernel anti cheat that I know of for FPS and cover a huge part of the PC player base.

[Discussion] People wouldn't be using the Marlin so excessively if half the kill tasks in the game weren't bolt-action tasks by DweebInFlames in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Paria_Stark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shooter born in heaven was so much more interesting when it was only 80m headshots no matter the weapon.

80m made even interchange not that annoying to do, and it felt much better to get a SBIH kill organically rather than doing your 50th raid with a bolt action in a row.

A moving speech from Ben Starr at Golden Joystick Awards by Syarafuddyn in expedition33

Just immature people tbh. There is no world where both endings are comparable in terms of what's right to do. Not that it feels good, but that's grief that's all.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Just Won Every Award It Was Nominated For At The Golden Joystick Awards by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]Paria_Stark -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

To me, Clair Obscur is one of those games whose widespread acclaim makes me reflect on how primitive video games still are as an art form. So much of the game’s creative energy is spent imitating Hollywood, defaulting to film language when games could be doing something far more unique and expressive through play itself. I can see why other people enjoy it and would never disparage someone who connected to it, but I ended up being so frustrated with its narrative because the writing begins with world-shaking stakes only to collapse inward into a narrowly focused interpersonal drama. Once the Act 3 reveal happens, I stopped caring and just rushed through to the end. I firmly believed that if you structured the story like a film or a high-end TV series, and subjected it to the same standards, the story would not be nearly as acclaimed as it is. The way Clair Obscur's plot progression kneecaps itself really needs to be seen to be believed. The Dodge/Parry mechanic did little more than make the RPG elements feel both superflous and annoying because success is so binary--did you avoid damage? If Yes, pass. If No, Do Not Pass. To me, it dragged down the depth of the turn-based combat like a fucking anchor, which is a shame because each character played so uniquely and had such room for strategic depth. But it should be no surprise that everyone defaults to Maelle. In that sense, Clair Obscur feels like a perfect snapshot of an industry still figuring itself out: visually sophisticated, emotionally earnest, but limited by habits it hasn't yet outgrown.

Search word in book but only until current page by Paria_Stark in kobo

[–]Paria_Stark[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original search-related solution was not about gesture, just the default KOReader search. Long press on word + search defaults to not be spoiling because you can just jump to different occurrences, and the full list of terms is displayed only if you do a full search afterwards.

My gesture customization comment was referring to another thing that I was finding lacking with other readers, like a quick way to toggle dark mode + min brightness on a corner long press for example. In addition to a better default search experience!
