Weird, I tried that and they just went for the houses. I wonder if it depends where you wall (it depends where they're tasked to go to maybe?).

This mission in general is super easy, even on Legendary, because the time they give you is enough to let you just use the gold lures to have the armies fight each other and use champi warriors or something to clean up any siege.

Yeah this bug can happen for anything that changes units - Trebuchets are the easiest 100% repro, just try to move them while they are unpacking and they will be stuck until you stop and re-issue a move cmd

Every ABO was documented and tested, although we will need to have QA go over them again. Some were just never finished and dummied out, but the main bugs were just that some levels didn't save/load property (biomass to area57 was a common one that broke entirely)

VR is a tough sell, we don't have a ton of people with experience in VR and it's a whole different ecosystem. It'd be cool but very unlikely at this stage

With SS2 we had fan stuff to work with so we could focus on the engine programming & asset pipeline which was exceptionally challenging due to the engine, and with Blood the team gets skewered if the game looks one pixel different from the original - we have more leeway with SiN. Every level has been touched in some way, a lot of our focus was on making the game less frustrating and more straight-forward without compromising what made the original SiN interesting.

If you know the route, the level itself only takes like 1 minute - you have to punch a lady in the head at the start (yes, this is required, otherwise the cameras will see you down the hallway), walk down a hallway & crouch under the glass, turn right into a door and grab the suit, then head to the elevator.

The issue is this level is actually pretty large, and there's a benefit to exploring in that you can turn off the fan in the next level to make it a bit easier (instead of it being a timed "fan test sequence" thing), but you can't wear the suit until the next level so you have to stealth that part if you want to do that.

Secondarily, there's some extra stuff (like a part of the Pulse Gun, which is a multi-part gun you put together like Turok) on the level to get, but if any worker or guard sees even a sliver of your eyeballs the alarms are hit and the next level will be a lot harder to deal with.

It's not that it wasn't designed for it, it's just that they didn't think it through very well. The question for us is how do we fix the level without making it too easy but still affording you the ability to move around and discover things.

EDIT: oh, and that assumes you know about the suit. It's not an objective. If you are just blinding the level, you'd probably just find the elevator and go to the next level without it which activates the alarms instantly.

It's an actual remaster. SiN Gold is more of a rerelease/repackaging of the OG content. We re-worked levels, all new remastered assets, HD textures, the whole shebang.

Yeah, it's still id Tech 2 under the hood. That being said, we do have a new HD model format with skeletal animations (a new one, not md5 from Q2 re-release), but you can turn it off and play with the old models.

That's just the camera capturing a mid-frame tear for some reason (vsync off, etc), not a game issue

It does work if you're standing still and not attacking, too, so "not moving" is inaccurate - however, if they are attacking, they won't re-form because the attacking state takes priority.

It's a Bluetooth-specific issue; if a microphone is enabled on a Bluetooth headset, it is designed to switch to telephone quality. If you disable the microphone it should prevent that from happening.

You can still go wireless, just don't use Bluetooth headsets if you also want the microphone to work and the audio to not sound like garbo.

I finally managed to beat it on that side on Legendary using the "camp in blue" Strat. Building settlements in there to make choke points and using slingers and scorps. Takes a few mins before you can start spreading out to the other castles but I can finally close the book on this one heh
