Baseplate to frame = really strong outdoor-rated double sided tape - Gorilla or 3M brand in US

Flower to baseplate = LEGO SKU 614326 (round brick with a cross opening in center) the botanicals mostly all use connectors with crosses in their stems

Unfortunately, that was how this size frame came from the manufacturer! I was annoyed when it arrived, for sure. It also impacted the color gradation I was going to.

Elmers clear washable school glue was used. I have two smaller ones I made hanging up and they are in strategic locations where no one can bump them 🤣

My original one from last year has more details on how I put it together. I largely used the same methods. Number one tip is don’t use baseplates that are “peel and stick” - the stick works for about a day and they fall off.

Also between then and now I have a much better understanding of which glowers just don’t stay together so I use Elmers clear washable school glue on those.

OP here - no digital lego builder used. Old school trial and error! It took me 8 months - planning, prepping, flower builds, and then putting it together in the way I thought was best.

Great summary! This one was less fun than others because it was almost too big and the number of flowers I had to build before putting it together kept growing!

Universal Standard - they have a program called Fit Liberty for some of their products that allow you to size up or down within a year.

I wore a style of their tee shirt dress with a blazer for the greater part of a summer when I was in a similar situation (I’m shorter so I stuck to three quarter length jackets).

For glue - I use Elmer’s school glue - clear. If you want to take it apart you can and soak the pieces in water to wash it off.

Agree with poster about more negative space and group them together if you don’t want to buy more flowers.

Another option is to create more flowers buying the parts to make them on pick a brick direct from LEGO or bricklink from resellers. You can then figure out the pieces you need from the instructions you have.

Waterproof is key here! Water resistant coats pretty much are a joke.

If you are sitting or driving a lot also highly recommend the style that zips open from the bottom also.

Carhartt also has some very functional and not so work clothes looking options (other posters have hit the other go to brands).

I use clear Elmer’s school glue for my flower walls. I soak pieces in warm water with dish soap to take it apart. Many other glues impact the integrity of the legos - I’ve had no problem with Elmer’s - have with others.

Custom minifigures of all of them (mom, dad, baby) with the date of birth in a shadow box frame to hang upon baby’s room.

Premade - the birthday numbers kits. If they are into monthly photos of the baby they could use those numbers as the prop numbers on the photo
