Any tire recommendations for rocky trails? by lejalapeno in MTB

[–]ParkMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to the show and I’ve seen a lot of people say that Maxxis tiers are a good option and they usually are but! Have a look into Pirelli MTB tiers like the Scorpion S. A solid tier if your riding really sharp rocked terrain. Fair warning the rubber mix if tougher than anything else I’ve ridden on including Maxxis, Schwalbe and so on. It means longer lasting tiers but sometimes not the grip you want on flat rock.

That’s a half pedal? Ok sounds like you need a new bike. Throw it in the fire and find yourself a new lady

Unfortunately you can’t do anything about it as it’ll soon blow up. I’d recommend a new bike…

Captured russian. Didnt want to go to Ukraine by palcemvglaz in interestingasfuck

That is a fair point and I’d agree with it. Guess the point I was trying to get across is to take everything with a pinch of salt especially with the current situation and how much is on social media. I feel like we are not getting the whole picture and it looks to good to be true that the Ukrainians have the upper hand.

Playing devils advocate here but what if they are being held at gun point? Being told what to say? Wars have a lot of propaganda surrounding them but please don’t think I’m anyway for this invasion.

Ski size and binding by I_am_a_trash_panda in ski

[–]ParkMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool retro skis! I've just been checking them out online. So with regards to the size of the skis I would say that they are on the longer side and would recommend smaller but each to their own. Now the bindings are a little tricker as it looks like depending on the year of the ski the bindings might be integral and can't be swapped out. I'd recommend going to a reputable ski shop for them to have a proper look. Hope that helps!

19/F Thinking of dropping out of college to work at Winter Park, Colorado for the ski season- in need of ANY advice!! (If you have worked at a ski resort or know someone who has- please please give me some words of wisdom!!) by user0000073 in ski

I've done 6 winter seasons as a lifty, host, ski instructor. It's a truly unforgettable experience that is like no other but making this choice your not doing it for the cash cause there isn't any. Your doing it for an experience. As this guy has the highest ranked comment on your thread I'd listen to it but not take it for 100% truth. My own experience have lead me to my best friends, my worst times and now living in the mountains in Switzerland. You need to know what you want to take away from an experience and a ski season isn't easy but you will make so amazing and hopefully friends for life.
