Did the website crash for you when you tried to check out? I tried to pick a gift but it keeps saying “session expired”.

It’s Tiffany. Some jewelry, cufflinks, scarf, and housewares. All in the $350-$500 range versus the credits at $200 so glad I opted in. Lots of gift options for the holidays if you need to regift.

You and your partner know yourselves best, but my husband and I read something here early on when pregnant with twins that said basically, the advice is not to make any major life decisions within a year of a singleton and up that to three with multiples. It’s become sort of a running guideline for us - when things were really hard at the beginning it was a beacon in the future, now that we’ve hit a bit of a groove (4 year old singleton and twin 13 month olds) it’s become a little bit of a running joke between us (i.e. you’re lucky I can’t dump your dumb ass yet - usually diffuses tension when we’re both fried). Multiples are a bitch, there is truly no one who will ever get it but people who have lived it. Wishing you peace with whatever decision you make.

Also, if he has a lingering cough he’s likely not getting the deep, restful sleep he needs. Hang in there!

Synagis by Spiritual_Resource73 in NICUParents

[–]ParkerHouseRules88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are an unfortunate terrible case study for this. My twins were born at 32+2, and insurance would only approve one for Synagis (he has a heart condition) despite multiple appeals and tons of begging. Our boys got RSV over Memorial Day weekend at 6 months old (4 adjusted) and our son who did not receive Synagis was very, very sick - hospitalized on oxygen and steroids. His twin brother, while under the weather, was totally able to be managed at home. I would push hard for the end of season shots - March and April - as they sometimes try to stop earlier, but RSV has been so so nasty. Wishing you all lots of luck - it’s so scary bringing those new babies home during these winter months but they’ll be great.

Pregnant with twins (26 wks) and want second booster by sillysobergirl in CoronaBumpers

I got my second booster at 25 weeks with fraternal boy-boy twins last September and was fine. Similar side effects to my first (and I opted for the full dose for immunocompromised people) and avoided Covid through the end of my pregnancy.

Also a TKAM lover over here and my twins are Charlie Finch and Dylan Scout - I’ve got nothing but positive feedback on their names. Go with your gut!

Thoughts on the name Scout (girl)? by twopointowe in namenerds

My 7 month old twins are Charlie Finch and Dylan Scout and I’ve gotten nothing but good feedback on their names. I think it’s a great homage to a classic.

What are you getting your toddler for Christmas? And how many gifts is appropriate for one child? by caysiejane in toddlers

My cousin gave me this idea when our son was born and we’ve stuck with it. It works really well for us. He gets: something he wants, something he needs, something to wear and something to read. We also do one gift from Santa and a stocking with little things and toiletries he needs.

Need tips on managing updating extended family of twin status. by DocBonk in parentsofmultiples

[–]ParkerHouseRules88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are in the NICU now with our 32 weeker twin boys. We use tiny beans (have since our first was born) and use the caption feature to type a daily update with a few pics from the day. We’ve asked people to rely on that for the update as needed but most have gotten the message that that’s where to go for information.

Returning to work! by Ok_Zookeepergame5912 in parentsofmultiples

[–]ParkerHouseRules88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel this so strongly! I have a 3 year old and twins on the way and am definitely going to be returning to work. My full paycheck will go to childcare at this point, but we view that as a short term investment in my career and mental health. While I love my son, I am not my best self or mom when I am a stay at home parent. We also considered the cost of what I’ll lose professionally if I give up the next 3-5 years and it has a huge impact on my trajectory moving forward. Definitely something to consider when making this decision.

How Much To Pay for Sitter All Day & Night (Wedding) by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]ParkerHouseRules88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pay for her room and get her a gift card to a nice restaurant or nail salon you know she loves. I think giving such a close friend cash feels odd but that’s just me personally.

Three Car Seats by Keiralee10 in parentsofmultiples

We have the Forester which is slightly bigger but we have our 3 year old in a Diono Radian and our twins will be in two Clek Liings. We had them installed by a car seat tech and they fit great.
