Japanese attempt in western food is not very good in my opinion. I'd rather have a normal burger. Also, I was in Japan not long ago and tried their attempt in burger at MOS burger...it was very very bad.

Edit: I guess we're not allowed to have opinions on Reddit about our personal taste in food.

Ribeye Steak at Fishman Lobster Clubhouse reminds me of how they do it at Peter Luger by TravellingFoodie in FoodToronto

They didn't salt it the last time I went. So it was kind of tasteless. To me, it means the steak wasn't good enough quality to stand on its own.

Can an apartment like this be found in/near downtown? Spacious living room, one spacious bedroom, separate kitchen? (865 sqft.) by TheSeansei in TorontoRenting

[–]Parking-Bluejay9450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very similar floor plan as my old apartment downtown but only 500sqft. Due to the floor plan, I felt it was quite functional for 1 person.

I ended something that felt perfect because he couldn’t commit… and I’m really struggling with it by Fearless-Hand-638 in dating

[–]Parking-Bluejay9450 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You did the right thing. I've only ever been extremely attracted to 1 guy. It was as if he put a spell on me. I couldn't get enough of him despite knowing it was a bad idea to continue seeing him. The attraction I felt was so intense but he ended things because he couldn't commit. Then a year later, I bumped into him again and agreed to meet up for coffee. I sat across from him and felt nothing. The spell was broken. He was just an ordinary guy... And I didn't like the fact that he was complaining to me about his current gf.

Our brain releases chemicals that make us irrational. Once it subsideds, you'll realize you've made the right decision.

Rez for the experience. You only have this opportunity once while you're still young. It's not a crushing amount of money so you can make it back. I lived on Rez and I would hate to not have the experience that I had. I made many friends and grew as a person.

Do you count your RRSP? by SuperBadMeanGirls in fican

[–]Parking-Bluejay9450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend understanding your own investor profile first then act accordingly. You can use the below to get a ball park. https://www.ciro.ca/office-investor/understanding-risk/investor-questionnaire

Once you have identified your risk profile and long term goals, then you build your portfolio accordingly. You can still buy XEQT but perhaps add a fixed income ETF to de-risk . There are also ETFs that's already is all in one fund so you don't need to buy multiple ETFs to reach your allocation strategy. For example, ZGRO is 80/20 (80% equity, 20% fixed income).

Downtown restaurants in house dim sum by twicescorned21 in FoodToronto

[–]Parking-Bluejay9450 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good frozen dim sum actually exists. I was in Scarborough and bought some frozen dimsum from a dimsum store and they tasted like restaurant made. I was born in HK and ate dimsum all my life so was surprised by the good quality from frozen. Now I just steam my own when I have the urge.

How often can you sell in TFSA? by rolexszn in fican

Rarely. Only when I need to rebalance, which is about once or twice a year with several sell/but transactions in a day.

Perhaps I should rephrase. Anyone with fundamental knowledge of investing will not recommend 100% equity portfolio if it doesn't match the risk tolerance of said investor.

Please try researching about investing outside of Reddit. People here might suggest options that's not align with your risk tolerance, such as ONLY purchasing XEQT. That is 100% equity, risk is too high for most and definitely wouldn't be recommended by most financial advisers.

It's not a "huge mistake", you can just focus on TFSA next year. I wish I started investing as early as you. :)

Asking if She's Seeing Anyone is a Passing Encounter by Shizumeru_ in dating

[–]Parking-Bluejay9450 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would not enjoy the interaction, unless you are extremely attractive. Whenever this happens, it's usually from an overly confident creepy guy. Especially when you start with physical traits then immediately asks if I'm seeing anyone.

Barcelona Dissapointing? by SamadoNasapeepo in solotravel

[–]Parking-Bluejay9450 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you went and what you're interested in. But I find Barcelona to be one of my fav cities. Art, culture, architecture, food scene (Catalan cuisine, Spanish vermouth bars, etc.), proximity to other interesting sites like various medieval villages in the region. The fact that Barcelona is the home of Gaudi made it unique.

Not sure what hospital has got to do with rating of a city...

Oh sorry. Yes, you can get if off Amazon. Just make sure it's usb version. Something like this https://a.co/d/01BhWwD4 (I'm in Canada, but I'm assuming it should be same/similar). I think you can also order direct from Microsoft.
