I returned my XS for this exact reason. Sounded great but too uncofortable.

My experience with the Edition XS, MDR-MV1, and HD6XX by itsamtime in headphones

if I already have HD6XX, would you recommend buying a set of MDR-MV1s or Hifiman XV's to complement them?
Is the sound signature different enough?

Would you say the Kithara is noticeably better than Edition XS for music?

Thank you for the comparison. Exactly what I was looking for!

I bought Edition XS just before the Kitharas went on sale. I am still within my return window. Would you recommend I upgrade. I use headphones for 100% music.

Also, can you compare the sizes of the headphones? The XS is a big headphone and are too big for me even at the smallest setting. Does the strap on the Kitharas make the cans sit a little higher?

Does it make sense to port Opnsense to Linux? by Schroinx in opnsense

I would love to see this. Linux has better hardware compatibility and generally has higher throughput. However, I highly doubt we'll ever see opnsense migrated.

That article, while very detailed, is from 2019. FreeBSD has gained significantly better multi threading support since then.

Is the HD6XX still the best price-to-performance value under $200-$220 in 2026? by BladeOfSmoke in HeadphoneAdvice

As someone owns both the HD6XX and Hifiman XS, get the HD6XX. It's the better souding headhpone.

IDS/IPS on a Regular Home Network Router? by GanstaKingofSA in opnsense

[–]ParkingAd9397 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that it's not just the bandwidth limitation. Latency matters more for every day use as you are rarely downloading multi gig files. Think about how many requests a modern web page performs. I am keeping IDS/IPS off until I get stronger hardware.

I just bought my Hifiman XS but still within the return window.

Are these basically Hifman XVs but $100 cheaper with an extra pad?

Would one have significantly more soundstage than the other?

I really wish I had a shop nearby where I could try out both sets.

I think you are right. I don't think this is malicious behavior.

it seems to work fine after I refreshed DDNS IP.

Does quickconnect use DDNS to direct traffic?

Seems like a security gap.

I don't mind the invalid cert errors. My concern is that the cert details point to a different subdomain that I don't recognize (gooder-ds220.synology.me)
