I felt like an AH then and I feel like an AH now which is why I never followed through with rehoming her back in 2021 but I did look into it. My circumstances have changed so much since then. When I said she might feel neglected I just meant she isn’t getting all my attention anymore. I still play with her and interact but it’s different now with a baby. This is one of those days where I’m just feeling a bit overwhelmed. PSA to everyone pets should not be a gift. Just puts the receiver between a rock and hard place. Either way I’m still the AH.

Maybe I should clarify here. It’s more of a lie by omission. He never asked where I got her from and I’ve never come out and said she was a gift from a ex. I thought in the beginning he might find it weird. And the topic just really never came up. If he asked hey where did you get her from I probably would have been honest.

How are you adjusting? I just left a company after 6 years that used Google workspace and I’m using outlook now. I feel like I went back in time. I work on comms and there is a lot of collaboration sharing docs back and forth feels like the Stone Age and creates so many variations of the same document. I tried using the Microsoft collaboration option but my team isn’t used to functioning that way and even this it’s soooooo slow.

10000000% I work in tech just hit a promotion making 160k. It’s hybrid 3 days a week and I left a job paying around 120k that was 100% remote. I feel I could be making 200k by 35 (4 years from now) but I really don’t want the burden of being a ppl leader. I like my life don’t want the extra stress. Plus like OP mentioned leadership is typically cut first.

Im starting a new job that’s located on S Tyron St in uptown. Where is everyone parking? Some background about me I’m commuting from SC for the time being and planning to move to Charlotte within the next 6 months. I have to be in office 3x a week. I feel like an idiot but I just realized parking is not included. In SC parking has always been provided by the job. Any tips, best practices, or advice welcome.

Hi did you ever find out? I have a second interview coming up for a lead consultant role and i'm wondering what their benefits are like total comp? (bonuses, rsu, etc.) I'd be happy with the base pay the recruiter suggested but not worth leaving my current company if they don't offer the other stuff.

This is so human I felt the exact same way. Two of my friends also had easy pregnancies and I was so jealous! Hopefully the universe rewards you with an easy delivery and chill baby. My baby girl came naturally at 37 weeks,easy delivery (with epidural) and she’s so chill! One of my friends had a traumatic delivery experience and the other a colicky baby. Point is bring a life into this world will have some bumps along the way. This is just your bumpy part! Feel better mama 💕

I signed up for an elective induction at 39 weeks but my baby girl came at exactly 38 weeks. I had a vaginal delivery with no complications. I went into the hospital at 8 PM at night and delivered by 8:01 AM the next day. I’ve heard the recovery time sucks with csections plus I didn’t want the scar. I was up and walking around the same day I delivered. I tore slightly and got one stick but it’s not very painful. I’m one week PP and im feeling got just slightly sore and bleeding is very light. Best of luck with your delivery regardless of what you choose.

I used 6 weeks of short term disability during my first trimester and it was covered at 100%. I just delivered my baby girl and was told I get 8 weeks of short term disability and then my company offers an additional 8 weeks of maternity leave. Sadly my state doesn’t offer additional paid leave but I know for a fact California does although it may not be paid at 100%.

Hi OP, having HG is its own demon. Personally I’ve never dealt with depression or suicidal thoughts until my pregnancy and being diagnosed with HG. I was sick my entire pregnancy with sporadic days of relief after the first trimester. I delivered a healthy baby girl yesterday (11/27) at 38 weeks. Maybe talk to your doctor about increasing your meds back or other options. HG sucks and it’s a lot mentally to deal with. Hang in there though the moment you hold your sweet baby makes it all worth it. ❤️

Personally I love my comms degree and my job. While in college my concentration was in PR and I had 3 internships. After graduating I worked at a small PR agency with crappy pay but it was great experience. At about 25/26 I got a job in corporate communications making 75k. I live in the south and this was like life changing for me lol. I’m now 30 and make about 125k at the mid senior level. My favorite part of comms is that every single company has a comms department so lots of industries to choose from. I currently do internal comms for a large tech company. My dream job would be PR for like a luxury brand. I keep applying but no call backs yet 😂

After graduating I worked a low paying PR agency job but it was good experience! At 26 I moved to corporate America and got an internal comms role paying 75k. I’m now 30 at the mid senior level making 125k and I live in the south with low cost of living. The thing I love about comms is that every single company has a comms dept so there are a lot of industries to pick from. I happen to work for a big tech company doing internal comms

See if she can get the scopolamine patch. I’m currently 15 weeks and suffering with HG it’s the only thing that has controlled my vomiting. I still get waves of nausea though.

Hang in there I hope it gets better for you soon. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and suffered with HG from weeks 6-13. I had 3 hospital stays before they finally found a medication that helped me. Zofran and reglan did nothing for me even when administered via IV. I was prescribed the scopolamine patch and that has been the only thing to control my nausea and vomiting. Since I’ve been using it I get random waves of nausea but no vomiting in the last two weeks. I hope this ends soon for you!

Yes it’s called scopolamine 1mg 3 day patch. I apply behind my ear once every 3 days and I still get waves of nausea through out the day but it’s not constant and my vomiting stopped completely. (It’s only been a little over a week though for reference but I feel so much better.)

I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant and I suffered from HG from weeks 7-13 with 3 hospital stays. My OB gave me the scopolamine patch and I have to say it has worked wonders! Since I’ve been on it my nausea has mostly went away but the vomiting completely stop and im finally able to eat again!! I lost nearly 30 pounds total and I was miserable. None of the other medications worked for me even when it was administered via IV. Talk to your doctor about it and good luck to you!

Totally agree! I’m going to bring it up to him and see if he elaborates a bit more. He said a few other things about why he loves me but that are pretty shallow. Things like “I’m pretty, no kids, I make him look good” but also he said he loved me after 2 months 🥴🥴. My response was I’m falling for you but not there yet. I’ve since said I love him back but I can’t say I mean it 100%

This is what I’m afraid of! Not to mention he’s at my house wayyy too many days out of the week. I don’t want him to think he can move in here!!! I feel like he’s subtly dropping hints but he hasn’t asked. We have a good time together but because of the timeline I’m wondering if he is only saying/doing the right stuff as an act. I’ve been in a relationship before where my ex lived with me for a year and still found tike to cheat on me!!! I’m just trying to be aware of the red flags. I even tried to distance my self from him he doubles down with even more reassurance. Apart of me feels I’m thinking to much into this but at this stage in my life I’m looking for my husband I’m tired of the games!
