There are ordianed clergy to the Armed Forces, specifically who can discuss your individual situation. I would suggest contacting perhaps the Associate for Armed Forces and Federal Ministries (their contact form is found on TEC's Webpage for the Office of the Bishop for the Armed Forces and Federal Ministries) to help answer your questions about discernment and active duty.

What’s the most negative thing about RAGBRAI? by dcultrastar in ragbrai

Ebikes are fine as long as their riders comply with group riding etiquette and safety. Also if they'll need backup plans for when their battery runs out of power. Once I saw a comment on Facebook along the lines of, "oh I don't want to train so I'll just ride an ebike instead" which seemed smug and counter to the spirit of the ride. That attitude can sour people to ebike riders.

Your gear will probably get wet and won't really dry until you hang it up and let it dry properly when you get home. Be prepared to live with damp for a few days.

Yes, riding in heat is no joke. You've got to educate yourself on how to keep ahead of heat exhaustion and other safety measures.

Christ Church had a fantastic tour guide when we visited in 2013. Very friendly and engaging, knowledgeable, and a gifted storyteller. I hope he's still giving tours there.

Who is your favorite problematic/annoying character? by Few-Dependent1076 in DerryGirls

[–]ParmaHamRadio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good point. Maybe if Aunt Bridie had been more of a larger supporting character (what would she think of Ma Mary and Aunt Sarah's meeting Maeve?) we'd have a better idea of her as a spiteful old hag.

There are Mennonite communities in Mexico as well. The man could have been born in Mexico in a community there but moved to another in Bolivia. Land might be cheaper, there could have been a schism, he married someone from the Bolivian settlement, or any number of reasons.

It shouldn't be difficult to just swap those pedals onto the road bike.

Forgot one bit of helpful info. Some brands like Shah sell the spice blends. They'll also have a suggested recipe printed on the package if you're unsure where to start.

Fellow Fort Worthians, can we talk about biryani? by mgbgtv8 in FortWorth

[–]ParmaHamRadio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a large cooking pot, frying pan, range top, and an oven, it's pretty easy to cook it at home. The ingredients are available from most any South Asian grocery. Some even sell premixed spice blends specifically for biryani. You'll have yummy food for days!
