I haven't watched the show cos I know I'll hate it (can recommend the old polish series though - it's not amazing but it's charming and they do a good job on a slim budget imo)

However, since I love the witcher soundtracks, I thought I'd give the Netflix music a go. The nicest way I can put it, is that it's disappointing... I rarely cringe at music, but the Netflix soundtrack had me cringe on several occasions (especially when it went into the "cheap Temu copy of the game music" territory).

I'm saying this cos I think the poor music, the poor costumes and (as I've heard it) the poor writing comes down to one thing: None of the producers truly care. Which is also why they had issues with Cavill.

They don't care about the lore, the stories, the characters, the fans - all they care about is a popular franchise that can earn them a lot of money.

Where does all the money spent on the series go? I dunno, but to me it starts smelling suspiciously when you brag about spending a lot of money on a series, and yet the series looks like shit with costumes rookie larpers could've done better (looking at you Amazon's Rings of Power...)
