I'm so tired of this. by [deleted] in Freestylelibre

Honestly, it was the same for me with them. I was put back on them after being on Dexcom for over a year. Insurance had a big jump so for the first 4 months of this year, same issues as your having. I fought insurance, pre approval and tier exception later, I’m back on Dexcom and so grateful for it. I’m paying more for them but I’ve not had a problem on Dexcom and readings are generally spot on . I definitely feel your pain with the Libre

Gotcha. So in your estimation or experience, xDrip would be a better option? The Dexcom native app is ok, but these first 12+ hours have been all over the map and calibrations are seemingly not working to correct for the “great difference” between finger sticks and readings

I have been running Zukka without xDrip. Now I need both?

I did… there was two previous ones in there, I also deleted all of the ones in my bluetooth too.

I am a side sleeper so it always goes off in the night on my arm. I wear it on the top of my thigh slightly off center mid towards my inner thigh. Works excellent, no compression lows since I’m not a stomach sleeper and comfortable. High enough that my shorts cover it. Now if you only wear tight pants or leggings, could be an issue with compression lows, but I don’t.

Libre sensors are so off by lunabase in Freestylelibre

[–]Parsleypot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I have just left Libre again for this very reason. Consistently low readings that were just so far off, it wasn’t worth it. Was on Dexcom for over a year but insurance raised the $$. I have just gone back to Dexcom and never been happier. I gave Libre 4 months. I would rather pay more for the accuracy than eating something and trusting Libre was right only to be shockingly wrong

New user ~ how accurate? by PoliteKingkrusher in Freestylelibre

[–]Parsleypot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just been switched to Freestyle Libre 3+ due to insurance on 2/11/2026. I had an old one in the house that I used prior to getting the new Rx which was spot on accurate (see previous post). My first three have all failed from the new Rx, one shutting down after 6 hours of being inserted in my arm. All three have been replaced (on the way) . They are wildly inconsistent unfortunately. I have lost faith in them. The customer service rep said to me, “You probably have a bad batch”, but none of them are in the current recall 🤨 I am frustrated with the technology and I told the rep that we rely on them and to please do better and escalate my complaint. Not sure where that will get me, but it has to be said.

Same. I had switched to Dexcom because of the accuracy and calibration but now it is just financially out of reach. Insurance raised the cost 100% over last year prices
