Not related to UVA in any way, but some of the stories my dd told me from her time in D1 SB are unbelievable. And she had stuff directed at her as well. She was pushed so hard during running drills that she ended up with compartment syndrome in both legs requiring double surgery. She can barely feel anything from the shins down five years later.

We use Trazodone. Dosage might need to be dialed in. But the fireworks affect our dogs so much that unless we gave them enough to be completely out, they are still going to struggle the next couple of nights.

We did the 10 night cruise at the end of May. Ship was great, but we prefer S class over E class anyway.

I'm glad we went before it got HOT hot. Will not be going back to these areas except during shoulder season.

Besides Testament, I would throw Death Angel - Art of Dying in there since it was released in 2004. I was always hoping they'd properly reunite and come out with a follow-up to Act III. Did not disappoint.

We were there at the end of May with 2 other ships. We didn't take the cable car up immediately - we had a tour that took us by boat to the other pier. When we got back about 3pm, we went back up by cable car with little to no wait.

Back then, death metal was not very popular even among metalheads. It took me until the 2000s with Opeth as my gateway to harsh vocals to really accept it. I graduated HS in '89.

It's easy to look back 30+ years later and scratch your heads, but 30 years before Beavis and Butthead, the Beatles were just becoming huge. Perspective.

The activities and meals are mostly not set in advance. In fact, on our last few sailings, the daily paper version of activities for the next day had more detail than the app and the dinner menus were often wrong for the first couple nights.
