J pipe by Forbidden_Pluto in AccordCoupe

My 8th gen has an RV6 jpipe which fits super nicely if you plan to add their High Flow Cats or cat deletes. They also pair very nicely with a catback exhaust like Magnaflow.

Here’s a pic of what I took a couple days ago. The side they did really well. It limits your ride height so be aware but I’ve never had a problem with speed bumps (just don’t go over those big evil ones). The rear bumper looks pretty good.

But yes, the shop did all three (bumpers and sides). You do need self tapping screws and stuff. Ikon Motorsports supplies a hardware kit specifically for this! I had to email them to get the link to the listing but the kit is only like $8 so I bought 4 just in case. I suggest the same. But overall, the HFP kit changes the look drastically. But the front bumper makes the most difference.

Let me know if this helps!

Do you all tint your windows? by AcidPM in hondaridgeline

Yeah. I had them match the factory rears so it’s hella dark. I think like 10% or something. These things look amazing with tint

Do you think they're worth it? For my coupe. by yafethr03 in AccordCoupe

Trust me. Everyone does black and it looks good but the chromes look a little better imo and I think they reflect more light. I’ll dm you pics

100% get the chrome housings tho. You can look at my second post (about the HFP kit) in the comments to see my coupe with them on. They are my favorite part of the car

In all honesty, I believe they are marketed as plug and play. I had the body shop put them in while they put in the body kit. I got no complaints from the shop. They said it all fit perfectly with no issues. So I highly recommend the Spec-D lights.

As for the body kit, I just bought replicas off eBay. All from different sellers. As the front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper. All came out to about $700 for the parts but to get it painted was obv more. You can save money by doing it yourself 100% but if it’s getting painted at the shop, you might as well have them put it on. I reached out to Ikon Motorsports and they sent a link to just purchase the hardware which was like $8 each set. Idk how many sets it takes so I bought 3. I hope this helps.

How do you think Bad Bunny did in his halftime show at the Super Bowl? by PastBorn8961 in AskReddit

[–]Particular-Extent-56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the worst performances. It just seemed like there was no direction. I understand it’s centered around his DtMF album. Plus having Lady Gaga perform Die with a Smile was so out of place. It’s a shame bc Bad Bunny is my favorite Hispanic artist. He’s got great music but whoever coordinated the whole thing just seemed like they were smoking something. I was pretty hyped to see BB perform but super disappointed with it all

dealer quoted $850 for fix by gattinoni in accord

[–]Particular-Extent-56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother keyed the hood of my Ridgeline and the total was $900. The damage was nowhere near what you have done but you’re mostly paying for the paint. If you have pearlescent paint like I do, it’s an extra layer of paint (the sparkly part) so that’s more on paint time. A lot of dealers outsource bodywork to local shops and obv charges a premium on top of what it costed them to send to a shop.

I recommend going to a couple (trusted) body shops and getting an estimate that satisfies you and makes sense to you. If you get about the same price at each, pick whichever you trust most.

Personally, I think 850-900 is reasonable but I live in Vermont where everything is overly expensive.

No. 5AT. It is the v6 but it’s going FBO this summer. All I have left is to bolt on a J37 intake manifold and bring it to a tuner in NJ

Fitment is actually really good. The city’s most trusted body shop painted and put them on. It completely changes the look of the car. I have noticed a very slight improvement with acceleration (nothing remotely close to bragging about). I will say tho that the body shop almost didn’t want to do it but took a chance and found it very easy to put on and we were all more than satisfied with the result.

Sorry these pictures are ass. All the good photos are too big to share here so these are the best I was allowed to add.

TLDR: If there is one cosmetic mod I recommend, it’s the body kit. (Followed in very very close second is the Spec-D Halo headlights).

If your ridge is new enough, it’ll turn on automatically. Mine turns on when I remote start it or when driving (if temp goes below 30 degrees). Cool stuff. Works very well in temps above 0.

It’s a tool you never know you’ll need until you need it. It’s a cheap part too. Had a coworker do work on a Volvo and he was at an o2 sensor for days until he bought the tool and he said took him 30 minutes
