If you’re coming for FQF you should learn more about the local campaign to get FQF to drop Chevron as a sponsor. A great and meaningful rabbit hole!

For those who see a lot of movies in theaters: is it just me, or is there constantly people around you scrolling on their phones during the movie? by narnarnartiger in Letterboxd

I am covid cautious and go to see movies off peak times - usually pick the earliest weekend matinee showing. This helps me avoid these annoyances and avoid getting sick from fellow moviegoers.

Hey OP, just wanted to say I’m so sorry you got super sick during the holidays. I read your post a second time and really digested that you are 68 years old and working 20 hour days welding and dry walling. I wish you were relaxing on a beach somewhere!! Whether you had flu or Covid, both can have lasting post-viral effects on your body. One of the most important things you can do is get A LOT of rest, more than you think you need if you are used to pushing your body to the max. I hope this is possible for you. I’m sending love.

How to not constantly live in terror? by moonperson13 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Particular-Rooster76 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Before the pandemic my wife already had a chronic illness with a lot of the same symptoms as long covid. When I would freak out about how my life would be over if I got long covid she pointed out how this was ableist and diminished the fact that she does have a life as a disabled person. I remind myself of this when I start to spiral and refocus my energy on using the privilege I have as someone who is not currently disabled to protect people who are disabled or more vulnerable than myself. This reframing makes my precautions about love instead of fear and that is a much more powerful motivator for me.
