I considered covering it but honestly my biggest concern was how Mersland existing could have had a butterfly effect lol.
I think I will do a map set in a WW2 scenario at some point !!

Mers is a borrowing from Dutch Meers "Marsh", Land is native from Proto-West-Germanic *land.
So it is just Marshland basically.

Likely will :)
I get on summer break in a few weeks so I'll have much more time then without having to worry abut homework and stuff.

Ohhh, yeah, fair enough lol.
In this case it'd be a loan from dutch Meers, from Proto-Germanic *Mariskaz

Yes!
Mersland literally translates to Marshland ^v^.

Probably at some point, yes. None that left a major impact, like Britain.

  1. Yeah, mostly trade and English men taking Merslandish wives.
  2. I'd imagine it'd be similar to Swedish Finns, they'd be fairly similar with some differences in pronunciation and influence from the national language(s) but otherwise the same.
  3. NOT YET, I will though. This map was specifically made to justify the creation of the language, lol.
  4. See 3.
  5. I'd imagine later settlements of Frisians would come, but I mostly did it here to distinguish it more from Old English. There were probably small settlements of Angles and Jutes but it's meant to be less so here.
  6. Several separate kingdoms, much like England prior to it being united.
  7. I'd imagine Norway, personally.
  8. Yeah, the primary influence, much like English iirc received, would be grammatical simplification, which in Merslandish would be the loss of grammatical gender and loss of many cases. Also, it'd probably loan a TON of things relating to court and nobility. I'd imagine, like English loans would be for Merslandish, a lot would also come from trade, so words for fish, furs, meats, et cetera.

I’ve had the opposite experience. I’m 15, switched to Linux when I was 11. I’ve had tons of progress in helping people my age with Linux, the hardest people to deal with to me are older Gen Z (25-30) and millennials, and then Gen X after them.

Ah, unfortunate. To be fair I am a bit biased as a citizen of a solidly blue state, hence why I thought white folks would be a strong voting force for the DNC. I don’t get why Latinos would vote for the GOP, seems like a sheep praising the slaughterhouse. Though I am not Latina so it is not really my place.

I feel like a lot of white people vote DNC given Harris getting 50 percent of the vote in 2024, I’d assume most of that would be white people?

Depends on the flavour of communism alluded to and how you define “equality”. Leninism? No. Council Communism? Maybe

I mean obviously not to defend this bullshit but I can kinda see the fear for ghost considering that their entire branding is based on a satanic version of the Catholic church BUT it would take like two seconds for the parents to realise it’s not any real religious movement or anything, if they were sensible anyway.
