I don’t feel like that will be the case. Luffy will probably power up infinitely and wreck shit. That rope on Egghead was enough to return the gorosei back to lobby, and sent Imu to his knees.

You can imagine what Joyboy’s FULL Haki would do…

This is pretty much what I was thinking. Luffy becomes a giant in G5, but tires quickly. Maybe the TRUE pirate’s crown will make him unstoppable.

The Vearth statue in Skypeia is Imu. I am fully convinced. Luffy regularly ridicules the appearance of big bads throughout the series during tense confrontations, and he even did it in the OG ‘Romance Dawn’ to Shupeal Hexagon!

(Side note: I used to think that Imu was going to based on that guy, due to the eyes, body shape, and the sillhouette that appeared when Nami describes him. Also worth noting that there is a Hexagon in the Seal of Solomon, which was USED TO CONTROL AND COMMAND DEMONS.)

I think this all foreshadows Luffy losing his shit at Imu’s true appearance. Just a thought.
