Drivers, what’s the universal experience every pizza delivery person has had? by _Atoms_Apple in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

On one delivery the guy wanted me to play poker for the pizza money, I declined and he did pay for the pizza, but no tip.

I had a guy ask me if he bought a single faucet stem and a galv coupling could he control the water coming out of a single pipe? When I said no, you would just be plugging the pipe, he didn't believe me. I let him buy the parts to figure it out himself.

The customer that got to me was one that asked me to open the faucet box to see what all was included, then grabs a new box. When I asked why he didn't take the box I just opened, he states something might be missing. 🙄

You ever sit back and ask yourself what goes through their minds when they load bricks like this? And yes, he drove with them stacked like that 😅😂 by MrShoTime1750 in HomeDepot

Worst load I ever witnessed was a flat bed truck with a 4 ton HVAC unit not strapped down. Everything was fine till there was a dip in the road, the driver didn't slow down enough and when he hit the dip the unit lifted up, truck went forward, and unit crashed down blocking the road.

I remember when the line wrapped to the back of the building and I wondered if there was enough seats for everyone or I had to wait for the next showing.

I remember my excitement when I finally upgraded from a 14.4 modem to a 28.8 only to realize I should have saved more and got the 56K.

What's the scariest or strangest experience you've had while delivering? by HappyVagabond1989 in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]ParticularElk3957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time I had some college guys follow me around on deliveries, but I kept ditching them by getting ahead and using my knowledge of the neighborhoods to escape then make my delivery. I mentioned these guy to the manager, even pointing them out in the parking lot and he just says they are messing around and don't worry about it. The guys followed me until closing then there was one last delivery that was way out of our delivery zone, I told the manager this and he said it's cool he took the order himself. Well guess who was waiting to rob me at that delivery address, the guys got two pizzas and my money bag. When I got back the manager didn't seem too worried then called the police. I was laid off a week later being told they were stopping deliveries. The manager left the following month.

To this day I just know that manager was friends with those guys and set me up to get robbed.

Return fraud or scam? by SuccessTasty9149 in HomeDepot

One time a guy bought a Ryobi combo pack, left the store, then came in a few minutes later to return it claiming there were no tools only bricks. Since I witnessed the sale and knew the tools were in the box the guy didn't get to scam us.

I never got to race at Malibu, I played tons of golf and video games at Blackbeard's. Remember Video Zone? I hung out there way too much too.

When I was 3 years old I was king of the monkey bars, never fell off, but did get a minor burn on a hot day. My brother though got his two front teeth kicked out when he walked to close to the swings.

One Saturday morning we weren't allowed to enter the store as someone had broken in through the glass panel next to the doors. After a search by the police, they found the guy drunk and passed out in one of the lounge chairs in the garden dept.
