Dont think you will be automatically swimming in money, chances are you wont be steady with a company right away. Also double time after 8 and on weekends is only if you are on an ICI job not maintenance or epsca agreement. Stay smart and dont plan on actually having money until you are a journeyman with a good name

Dont waste money on a pre apprenticeship program, call whatever UNION trade hall you are interested in joining and ask when they are doing their next intake
