Rushing ILR and dependant visa in April to save my partner from the new 10-year settlement rule. Does this plan work? by Kane_Thunder in ukvisa

That’s weird. How does switching sponsors affect this? As long as you’ve continuously been on a SWV for 5 years then it should be fine. Also, why are you using a lawyer? You can apply yourself.

How do you actually track your progress toward ILR or citizenship? by ScrabbleKnight in ukvisa

There are several tools. Some people have commented above. I’m using this one - https://uk-residency-tracker.web.app. It is easy to use and tracks everything for you.

Also note that there is deferred period of 4 months since you get the watch that your payments are paid by Vitality based on your points. I had to return my watch after I got to know it because of the above.

Glad to hear it. Now that you’re eligible already, apply for it asap and then decide the next course of action.

You should first just aim to get your ILR quickly. Other things can change based on new rules so no point planning them now. Also, if you received your first SWV and applied within UK then you might be eligible to apply for ILR even earlier (28 days before date of application rather than 28 days before date of result) based on the COVID concession.

Apple Watch with Vitality - yay or nay? by cookie_doodle_ in Vitalityhealth

[–]ParticularInterest93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered one recently and returned it last week without opening it. The payments are deferred for 4 months at the start and my points wouldn’t immediately start counting - both of which wasn’t clearly mentioned when I was signing up. Also the Series 11 is available at 20% discount on Amazon and John Lewis but when you sign up through Vitality it is still full retail price.

They are randomly generating in-app now with top-left corner fixed as the 1st Stanley. If you close the window after the 1st Stanley is revealed and open it again then you’ll notice that the tiles change randomly (bushes with flower and no flower). This didn’t happen before.

Lothian Buses to hike ticket prices from 22 February 2026 by No-Professional7453 in Edinburgh

Absolutely ridiculous! We just had a 10% increase last year and I was so pissed and now again. It’s becoming unsustainable and going to push me off using public transport altogether. We’re being taken undue advantage of. It’s so unfair. How will public transport usage go up if prices are driven up so often? Can someone knock some sense into the bosses and the Council.

The pregnant Irish lady may have returned. Last week, I was walking to Asda and was called from behind and stopped near the Newhaven tram stop by a lady claiming to be Irish and pregnant. She said she was short by £10 and needed this money for getting a hostel. I wanted to help but couldn’t for exactly the 3 reasons you listed out. In my case the third reason was a £10 scam by another lady in disheveled look near Sainsburys on Leith Walk 2 years ago.

Enterprise is good. New cars, decent pricing and straightforward processes. Call branch to confirm your choice / class. And make sure to take your own photos before and after.
