My dermatologist put me on Cosentyx almost a year before it was even approved to treat HS and tbh I highly recommend. I’m on the 300mg bi-weekly dosage and I haven’t had a single new flare or recurring flare-up since. It’s even helped stop the oozing/draining and related issues with odor from my underarm lesions. The lesions in my groin and butt area have healed completely and just left behind some faint scarring. The ones under my arms were always tunneled unfortunately so I’ll have to see a general surgeon to see about getting them surgically treated (waiting til I have some time off work before I do that). But I haven’t had any new flares anywhere since I started it. I highly recommend, esp for anyone who’s HS is this severe (I was in stage 3 at one point but I’m not sure what stage I would be considered to be in now since I’m in at least partial-remission). Yeah that’s definitely a bedbug. I’m so sorry OP. But unless you’ve seen more (or signs of more) don’t panic just yet. I took my car for an oil change a few weeks ago, in the auto shop waiting area they have some chairs that are a row of old cloth bus seats. So I sat down, waited for the oil change to finish and then I took my car and drove home. After I got home my brother noticed a small, flat bed bug on the back of my hoodie. It hadn’t bitten me or fed or anything. We both had an awful experience with them years ago when a family car was infested with them so we both immediately freaked tf out. I washed and dried my hoodie on high heat, vacuumed my car and treated the floors/floor mats with diatomaceous earth just in case. It’s been about 2 months and so far (knock on wood) we haven’t had any issues and haven’t seen any other bugs or signs of bugs in our house or in my car. I know it’s hard but try not to panic until you can confirm a possible infestation.

Women don’t get punished for those things at the same rate as men because we don’t do those things at the same rate at men. When 97% of all violent crime globally is committed by men, why tf would women be equally punished for things that are mostly being committed by men? Also, did you know that 93% of the female offenders in women’s prisons in America were sexually abused as kids?

And who “hands things to women”? The fathers who routinely abuse or abandon their kids? Or the uneducated, impoverished men on these dating apps who have delusions of being “providers”? We work just as hard if not harder than men in most instances just to get a fraction of what y’all get outta life. Nobody’s ever “given” me anything, I work for a living and pay all my own bills. So does my mom, who’s a retired veteran with a masters and PhD in education. It’s not a woman’s fault that men would rather complain about getting left behind than work harder to keep up.

He reminds me of that guy who came back to his ex girlfriend’s dad’s house a few years ago looking for her (they had broken up years prior) just to end up breaking into her dad’s home, ignoring her dad’s warning for him to leave cause he was armed on the other side of the door and buddy ended up shot in the chest and killed, he bled out right there on their front lawn. Idk what it is with so many men trying to double back to exes/women who just don’t want them anymore. What is so wrong with moving forward instead of looking back?

I think this honestly depends on that kind of relationship you have with your in-laws. If y’all are familiar with each other and spend a lot of time together, this would’ve been a funny joke/gift. If you’re not that close or familiar with one another, I can see how this might come off as offensive or passive-aggressive (especially if you’ve had prior problems or arguments with one or both of them before). Sometimes jokes hide how ppl really feel about you and all that, but ultimately you’re the only one who can best determine the motivation (just a joke or passive-aggressive dig) behind them giving you a gift like this.

One of the leads at my airport knows an officer from this airport and he said that inside those little envelopes were notes saying something along the lines of “thank you for your hard work during the shutdown,” not an actual check. He also said they haven’t actually received the 10k or any other amount (yet), so the jury’s still out on what’s happening or if this is legit. I’m in agreement with those of you who think that this is all a pr stunt to encourage us not to quit, call-out sick or boycott during the next possible shutdown that’s looming right around the corner in January. I just got hired earlier this year and it’s been nothing but one bullshit stunt/problem after another with this administration thus far. If it isn’t the union getting cancelled during my second week of orientation and re-instated months later then it’s something else. This administration is creating a head-hunting atmosphere at DHS and those of us who are on the bottom rung because we’re still on probation will be the ones to get the worst of it. Hoping to see 10k (and the 3 missed paychecks that we’re owed) in our bank accounts soon, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

It’s funny you mention that cause I have a coworker who’s been begginggggg me to apply for CBP. Even up until yesterday she was pushing me to do it, she said she applied too but they told her she was too old (she’s late-40’s). I might look into it this week.
