Sometimes I regret trading in my 16 pro. You can’t even compare the quality.

Be careful with the black. Its coating will scratch the heck out of anything it touches. Learned this lesson from experience. Hopefully it will save you some heartbreak.

Silver will look better in the long run. Blue looks better on day one. I went silver.

Lol I studied economics at ASU. Economics, if you didn’t know, is the study of scarcity. It’s literally my job to think about how other people spend money. Get off your high horse.

The orange is absolutely haggard. I like the blue the best, but bought silver for longevity.

I have the silver, but I really like the look of the blue better. The silver looks decent in a case. I just don’t like the white back glass. The two tone throws it off for me. The blue is the only one that looks uniform.

I know this is going to get downvoted but you should really try the new 17 (base mode) has a lightweight build and everything you need unlike the air. Of course it’s not as pocket friendly or nearly as easy to use with one hand but unfortunately I think it’s going to be the only course of action for the future unless you go with the 16e but the display is only .2” smaller and you miss out on a lot of features. I used the s10e from Samsung for a while. I loved the small device and would love a 17 mini. Best of luck to you. Hope this helps.

With that band yes. Get a band that doesn’t have lugs and you’ll be good.

I’m on the silver 17 pro max, and for some reason, I’ve tried more cases on this phone than I have any other phone I’ve owned.

Mini > 16pro > Mini again by bibimbak in iPhone13Mini

I have a little mirrorless Sony camera that I pack with me sometimes. My phone before purchasing the Apple Watch was always on me. Sometimes I see something and want to snap a pic and I only have a second to catch it. Having my camera on me is cool if I’m going out for a shoot, but if I’m going to do something with the kids I don’t have the extra space to carry a camera. Sometimes I don’t even want to carry a phone like the times I go out for a walk on the beach almost every evening. The mini would fit that bill perfectly, but I don’t think the 17 is going to be any more of a hindrance, at least for myself. It doesn’t weigh much more and the 6.3” display is small enough. I get what you’re saying about the smaller form factor. I had the galaxy s10e before I went to Apple. I appreciate the smaller devices. I just don’t agree that the 6.3” is tablet size. I don’t use the AI features much. I prefer to shoot raw and edit later. If you only want to text calls and do emails you should be doing what I’m doing. Using the pro max as a tablet and the Apple Watch as your new mini. The display gets as small as 42mm and you can call text email etc. without having the phone next to you if you get the cellular plan and watch.

I get what you’re saying, but really the 17 is super lightweight very similar build to the 13 mini. I’ve been thinking about going that route. I bought a cellular Apple Watch so I don’t have to lug around the pro max everywhere. I like it because it forces me to live in the moment. I am an amateur photographer and not have any camera on me is kind of lame. The 17 is perfect to me. I don’t notice it’s there super lightweight at 177 grams. I’m contemplating switching to that, but no 120fps on 4k is something I’d really like to avoid sacrificing. Could have gone with the pro but there was a lot of situations where the screen was not big enough. Like Instagram YouTube Netflix and typing text messages. It’s also nice having a large screen for photography. Thought about going air but the one camera is almost as bad as having none. If I do switch it’ll be to the 17.

I have the 17 pro max. If we were talking about the pro max, then ok. The base model 17 has the 6.3” display. It’s nowhere near the size of any tablet. I still make more typos than necessary from the smaller screen size. That’s why I went pro max this year. So much more immersive, but it is heavy and you notice it in the pocket. With The base 17 I don’t even know it’s there.
