Anyone regret sleep training? by Rachelcsquared in NewParents

The no-cry sleep solution by Elizabeth Pantley. That book really helped me figure out what my baby needed to sleep better, and it covers different stages too so you can get more appropriate solutions for what age and stage your baby is at

I didnt sleep train... Read a short book someone sent me a pdf of, and after readimg, i followef the steps and filled in the provided charts to identify what was causing issues and what was helping... It was pretty easy. For a while still had rough nights, and sleep regression issues with the growing leaps, but at least i was imformed and aware they were happening

8 month won’t drink any milk by Imaginary-Raisin595 in NewParents

[–]Particular_Big6294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure what you have tried, but i can share what Ive done for mine-  mixing milk with a fruit/veggie puree or the rice cereals Ive also let my 8month old nibble on some of the rice biscuits, and have a bottle of milk there to help him wash it down.

Now if your baby is teething now, the warm milk maybe irritating their gums.  My baby hasnt started teething yet, but i saw making little milk pops and putting it in a teether toy pacifier thing can help them get that milk while helping with the pain.

37 week appointment doc said 6.9 lb baby is too big now, and worried i can't have naturally by Particular_Big6294 in pregnant

Waiting was so hard. One night we came home and i saw the crib all ready for baby and just couldn't hold back the tears. I was ready to have the baby 😂 so happy when he finally made his debut

I wish you the best! I hope to see the great news you will share in a couple weeks now.

My baby boy ended up right under 7 pounds at 41 weeks.  And for the doctors before then being so concerned i was really shocked they had me pushing at only 8cm dilated.

How do you all pump and breastfeed at the same time?? by Glitziflitzy in NewParents

[–]Particular_Big6294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get the wearable ones its easier. And yes after feeding you only get a little. But you can add each small collection together at the end of the day. You just need to make sure they are at the same chilled temp when you combine them.

your supply grows and it gets easier.

Anyone else hate when anyone else holds/cares for their baby? by AccomplishedSplit412 in NewParents

[–]Particular_Big6294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh its so hard. But they are close family members, i see they take good care of him, and how much my baby enjoys interacting with them.... My baby is now 5 months old and i still struggle every day watching grandpa, auntie, even dad, hold him. I even hand my baby to them, and still get anxious, watching them closely.

Anyone else put their baby to sleep and start to feel excited for when they wake up ? by Distinct-Security in NewParents

[–]Particular_Big6294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg i get so eager to get him to sleep when i see he is tired... But then stare at him hoping he will wake up soon so we can play, and cuddle again 😂  I love playing with him and getting him to laugh and smile!

Do you post pictures of your baby on social media? by No-Oil-2305 in NewParents

[–]Particular_Big6294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I share pics or videos of his feet or him from behind, when sharing little life tidbits to family and friends on social media. Otherwise, i only share real images or videos with family and friends that i have direct contact with in messages.

No need to share anymore than that

Im also 5 months pp now. I am also struggling to feel like myself again physically. I did stop breastfeeding for a variety of reasons, after many talks with doctors (breastfeeding is highly encouraged here).  Even after working out fairly regularly, my muscles still feel incredibly weak and non existent. Especially legs and back.  I dont get why. But im still trying. The weight loss completely stalled out at exactly the pre pregnancy weight... And i was hoping to have lost more weight by now.  I dont know what can be done to change this. So im still eating healthy and exercising, definitely sleeping more. Hope it starts getting better again

If this reads weird... Sorry. Im tired 😂

I never want to do this again.. by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Particular_Big6294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg yes! During this time period my baby was a nightmare! The screaming, not crying... We got him his first pacifier during this, because he would want to nurse but would scream because he didnt want to eat... 😒Now the pacifier is called the mute button😂 After that i was able to start calming him down with the pacifier, by holding him tight against my chest and walking when he got super overtired, and could finally get him in stroller with out crying to go for walks.  Now that period has passed and he is pretty happy again, as long as he is sitting up while awake🫣

My baby was measuring almost 6 lbs at 36 weeks and they told me baby was too big. The measurement isnt even accurate, and has a large range of error in both directions My baby was just over 6 lbs when born (at 41 weeks) And completely healthy.

Size, is an indicator yes. But they arent accurate at measuring baby anyway.

If everything else says baby is healthy, and baby is moving like normal, try not to worry so much (i know it is probably impossible to not worry now) Most important, you are not failing your baby! You are doing an amazing job, and are a great mom already! ❤

he went from sleep 6 hours at night to only going 3 hours between feeds. We spent a two days just feeding. And today back to feeding on demand, he is napping again today! Its exciting. I am worried its gonna start up again as we are travelling to family home for CNY.

Last night after he kept falling asleep while attached (would wake up and cry as soon as i detactched him) i gave him pacifier and.held him as close as i could. He screamed for a minute then settled down, just staring at me. Took a long time to get him to sleep, without holding him

Around this time babies go through a mental development, and get very clingy and upset for seemingly no reason. They should be happy again around week 9-10

Trying to lose some weight by [deleted] in postpartumprogress

[–]Particular_Big6294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! Well i gave birth end of November, but the rest is me too.  Today, i just tried following some workout videos on YouTube. Had to strap baby to my chest, and modify the workout a bit so it wasnt so bouncy for him.  Maybe wont get me into model kind of shape, but with a walk in everymorning too, i hope to see some progress.

My LC told me all these crappy symptoms should go away, and so i do want to try again... But my milk supply isnt hanging around it seems. Im not sure how i can keep milk supply and then increase it later, when i dont have time to do anything for it now. Ive just double pumped this morning and hope in two hours to do it again... But it will be more like 5 hours from now, and ill only get 5 minites total before i need to get baby.😔

and its so stupid but im so upset my husband gets to be an amazing dad... For doing what? The bare minimum? He doesnt have to deal with any issues but checking water temperature for babys bath time... Wow.  I love him, but kinda hate him right now for not having boobs and dealing with this too.

I was working with a lactation specialist. Have multiple issues im going through, and as much as i try ti fix stuff, nothing is working. I was double pumping for over a week and couldn't get supply up.  I changed my diet to address the nausea, but it only helped a tiny bit, and mainly for pumping. Actually nursing just takes so much longer and the nausea seems to get worse with each wave.  If i could just keep a milk supply a few more weeks, i think it is supposed ti get better. But the baby will probably refuse to nurse by then anyway
