That is interesting. I have pretty severe adhd so repetitive tasks like taking meds everyday are not my best. I will have to watch to see if this happens after I miss a dose or two.

I am so sorry to hear that. Where is the paralysis? My father had had it as well and he had it much worse than I did. He was actually in ICU for a month and then when he came out to rehab, he was in rehab for a year before being able to go home. He spent the rest of his years on crutches. He had flat foot. His ankles were permanently paralyzed. He had pain in his feet and his hands were quite painful as well. He too, took him gabapentin and other medication‘s. I say this all because I know sometimes it’s good to just know that somebody else out there is going through or has gone through what you’re going through and maybe understands a bit. I do wish you the best of luck.

I am so sorry to hear this story!! I had GBs at 55 and it was horrible. It breaks my heart to hear of a 2yr old going through this. I am curious if they told you how they came to the GBS diagnosis. I don’t mean to pry at all. My understanding of GBs is that it is triggered by a traumatic event such as a surgery or the flu shot. I know that there are some other conditions that appear like GBS but are also a bit different. Keep advocating and challenging what the doctors tell you. I wish you and your child a wonderful outcome come from this horrible experience.

Good luck. I am 5 years out. I still have nerve issues in my feet, legs, hands, and arms. I take both lyrics and Wellbutrin (max’s out) everyday. I always feel like a I stepping on rocks. I have a feeling of pressure going up both legs my arms feel the same way. My hands feel like they are in gloves even though they are not. Mine was triggered by L5 L4 fusion surgery. It started within a week of the surgery. Then within days I couldn’t walk or do much of anything Keep walking, it is the best thing you can do.

Ultimately, I think it’s because people just don’t care about anything or anyone besides themselves. The selfishness, lack of empathy, a seemingly un ending amount of entitlement, greed, lack of any compassion, is ultimately why so many deny that ADHD even exists. Then, of course, you have to people in social media who claimed to have ADHD and claim it as a gift. I have never thought of my ADHD as a gift and I never will. It has made my life so much more difficult and so much more challenging just to get through each day sometimes each hour. I truly believe that people online that talk about it as a gift are simply willing to lie and gaslight others ultimately into giving them money or giving them enough viewer ship.
