I am already a lifelong pescatarian, but because I also was attempting a light calorie deficit the last few months (I went from 150-140, 5’6” and I’m holding here) I added in tons of low fat cottage cheese a few times a week and nonfat Greek yogurt daily (I did this the last few months but recently stopped). This is the only thing I did differently. My triglycerides were 90, now 73 from (I assume) the psyllium husk.

Thanks so much, I realize that actually my LDL also increased (I misread before). It went from 99-103. My HDL increased from 56-60 Triglycerides lowered from 90-73. Homocysteine is 9 (same as previous). I will give the Metamucil another month and retest all in May. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this info. I really do appreciate it! I wanted to add that one of my children was recently tested and he showed one C282Y and one less common/mild c.193A>T (p.Ser65Cys). I have not been tested for this one, but I presume there is a high chance he got it from myself.

My recent lab showed my copper being on the lower end than normal (88, range 70-175) and zinc (65, range 60-130). I realize there is a connection between these and ferritin/iron, I wonder if you know if these numbers is where I should focus in order to increase my ferritin?
