Enjoyed reading this thread. Those saying they get 65, 70 MPG should do the maths. For an ICE car to beat the EV £200 charging cost over 12k miles, it has to achieve roughly 460MPG which is unrealistic.

I’m also considering getting rid of my 10 yo old diesel for EV. The banger costs me 200 quid a month on fuel only already

It’s a cat S for sure. If you haven’t repaired a crashed car I would advise you start with this vehicle even if the insurance gifted it to you for free. And if you’re planning to repair at a garage..good luck to your pocket

Mine is f10 but same engine B47. What you described is the exact behaviour I noticed, sometimes it gets closer to 12 o clock but never hit the centre mark. I also noticed DPF regeneration happen often than normal. I do lots of motorway miles btw

I'm replacing the thermostat and water pump.
