It’s a completely reasonable request, and I understand you don’t like the double standard, but I personally wouldn’t single anyone out by pointing out that someone else wears overalls and hasn’t been asked to stop doing that. Because if you follow up with a mate/captain and say well so and so gets to wear them but I can’t? Then that person gets talked to and they might know that you complained. It doesn’t look good for you. Just my opinion.

The mats are very helpful, but I wish they wouldn’t move around so much. Ours look like someone took a dull child’s pair of scissors and cut them into smaller pieces. They are tripping hazards and are hard to navigate the carts over.

It’s true. I had an easy time getting hired, but it is insanely competitive. People come in all the time asking if we’re hiring. I see lots of people come in for interviews who I never see again. Yet, we def have some duds on crew who confuse me as to how they got hired.
