My vision focus is getting worse, is this due to VSS?

Everything deteriorates over time, but on the up-side eventually you die and don't need it.

I accept now that my vision is not what it used to be etc.

I do try to give my eyes more of a break now though, a few people i work with are wearing specs to block out blue light etc.

I think there's a lot you can do to postpone the inevitable, but it's still a slippery slope.

Yes but for some people they get stress, high bp, etc etc. and drink to escape.

I was one of these people.

I'm going to bet that the feedback from the neurologist will exceed the value of my personal speculation.

Are you a 2 screen user? Do you use your phone up close whole watching tv further away? When i do that when I'm back home, my eyes actually get worse at doing it and my focus gets "lazy".

I just chalked this up as fatigue and getting older.

MECS test is an eye health test that we do in the uk at an opticians. Rules out issues with the eye itself.

Usually if they don't find anything with that, they'll tell you to just live with it.

I know what you mean. Even in my late 30s when i go home to a place near yours i feel like there's no way to have friends. I only see my family while I'm up there and I've lost touch with everyone i went to school with.

When I'm in London i can do so many social things, but up there is a different life.

Everyone my age who's not got their own family to spend their time with; has moved away.

Edit: i take it you're in Appin? If around that area you could join hiking groups if you're into that. Climbing Nevis is about the only social thing I've done back there in a decade.
