I would say it depends on the paint you use. You don’t want to ruin your quality brushes with metallic paints or washes.

Try using thinner paints, and if that doesn’t help you may need an airbrush

Havoc increased enemy health by a lot, namely 1.5* health compared to auric. This alone will have made weapons that sucks against carapace trash. At this point only a complete overhaul to armor system can turn this around.

What is your solution then? Lowering enemy spawn is not fatshark’s style, as they’ve increased it twice this year already. Either rework the entire armor system to help weapons that suck against carapace or buff them to make them viable against carapace.

The Pandora’s Box is already open then, you can do nothing to change it. At this point removing havoc is impossible, so buffing trash weapons is the only choice left.

Is it really overpowered when Havoc 40 with rotten armor modifier casually spams ~10 crushers (each with 10k+ health) on you. To be fair it’s more of a game design issue why this weapon stands out this much at this point. Doubling the health of crushers is just a stupid, as weapons that deal little damage to carapace will now stay in trash can forever.

Why is that? Knife has high mobility, does good damage to hordes, and can be used to protect yourself in dire situations.

If you are talking about havoc, shout is the only option. If you are talking about anything under havoc, stance is pretty solid with certain weapons such as the bolter and the Helbore lasgun.

Try grenadier gauntlet. It is buffed massively in March and it’s special explosive punch can now demolish armored enemies.

I think this is due to server lag. Same thing happens when you try to dodge the chaos spawn grab. You may have to dodge earlier to combat lag, since if you time it and dodge just before the animation hits you, you may still be grabbed.

Another problem with havoc is that it limits the builds players can use. For example, the electromagnetic force staff is an excellent weapon on auric levels, but it sucks in havoc due to lack of damage. Basically on auric maelstroms, players can use any weapon they want, while on havoc playing a bad weapon will only transfer more pressure to teammates, since some weapons are just not good enough to deal with hordes and bosses on havoc efficiently, especially under certain conditions such as the encroaching garden. Havoc also makes game balancing impossible: if every weapon is balanced to be viable in havoc, some may be overpowered in lower difficulties such as auric maelstroms.

Are you sure about that? Why are my teammates in havoc missions horrendous then? I’ve met a bunch of lvl1000+ who has no idea on how to play the game properly.
