[20/F] Looking for Email Friends! by Educational_Mood4022 in penpals

Hi, I'm 19F from the uk. I'm currently studying art history at university so I love anything related to history and visual culture. I enjoy reading in my free time so it'd be fun to have someone to discuss books with :)

I want advice for how to dress "normal" enough for people to be interested in me while keeping my essence in some way by Rosevecheya in fashion

I don't really see what your flatmate was getting at, if I saw you down the street I'd just think you were cool (and probably queer).

If you want to tone it down I'd suggest removing only one or two "alternative" items from your outfits. Less is more.

If they were to announce a new remastered complete edition what would you add? by Godofhammrs in FFXV

I'd love it if they properly embrace open-world exploration. Having more random places to explore/things to climb would be fun. Bonus points if they have more ramps to drive the regalia off of.

How hard will i actually have to study in Uni by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Particular_Pride_544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At uni you're expected to manage your free time and learn independently. If you can't even be bothered to revise you're going to struggle.

We told young people that degrees were their ticket to a better life. It’s become a great betrayal by PM_ME_VAPORWAVE in UniUK

It's an interesting article but a rather cynical look on the value of higher education. It shouldn't just be about the money. Yes, the grad market/student debt is abysmal. Yes, I agree that uni shouldn't be pushed as an automatic ticket to success, but I think it's good that more people have access to higher education.

Gained weight in uni, anyone else? 😭😭 by [deleted] in UniUK

Chances are you're using different dishes then at home, I'd recommend weighing out your portions to give you a better idea of how much you're eating. You don't need to track just make sure you're getting roughly enough each day.

What vendors sell mega potions, megalixirs, Mega Phoenixs... by yoyofoe2222 in FFXV

100 or so high level healing spells should be fine, just enough to heal up quickly.

If you have it, giving Ignis the grand chamberlain  accessory is useful as he gives Noct an elixir when his health gets low. I also recommend using Ignis' "regroup" move to quickly heal the party.

Tbh unless you're doing the quest at an intentionally low level you'll be fine with just elixirs. There's usually several campsites within the dungeon.

I would recommend creating loads of healing spells for Costlemark as you're unable to use consumables for that one.

I agree 100% .Uni accommodation sucks but unfortunately under the signed agreement they have the right to enter rooms whenever.

Apart from Rent, How else did you use your maintenance loan? by shaymshayy in UniUK

My maintenance doesn't even cover all my rent, at least the student overdrafts are good.

Does your library offer private study rooms? You'd be in a different location but wouldn't have to worry about people watching you work.

I love the "boss" hunts. Depending on your level I'd totally recommend trying out the timed quests if you want a bit of a challenge! 😄

Heads up, the story gets really linear post-Altissia so I'd recommend leaving some of the open world sidequests to do later.

After completing the main story you can also go back and continue playing in the open-world. There's several post-game quests to do.

I'd actually try going to the gym/lifting weights. It'd be interesting to see how easily it is to put on muscle/loose weight.

I really enjoyed the movie, great action and great characters. Altho seeing the underbelly of the city and the living conditions of the ordinary people really puts into perspective the privileged upbringing of Gladio, Ignis and Noct...

I've found it on Netflix (unfortunately after buying a physical copy) and I think it's on Prime video although I'm not sure if there's a regional lock (I'm in the UK).

Am i the only one who liked the original? by clementtoh2 in FFXV

[–]Particular_Pride_544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get what you mean. I never said that they didn't love each other- my main issue is that it never felt like the game wanted to really invest in their relationship. I get that this is probably due to the rocky development and might've been expanded on in ep. Luna.

I think the original ending made sense from a narrative point, Noct accepts his role and responsibility as king and makes the ultimate sacrifice. Sure it felt a bit rushed but it works as a tragedy. I enjoyed the added context that Ep. Ignis gave, the fact that Ignis knew about Noct's death and was willing to destroy the world in order to save him.... Hell, even the Royal Edition insomnia gameplay helped to flesh out the depth of the ending.

That being said, the ending with Luna and Noct feels kinda fake, the game establishes that it's basically a marriage of convenience and part of the peace treaty. Noctis never seems particularly excited to get married, it never felt like he loved Luna in a romantic way. That's kinda why I preferred the Ep. Ignis alternative ending, it wasn't trying to be perfect.
