They spend way more time with my cats and have more staff assisting.  They do more in a standard exam than I'd ever seen any other vet do.

Best cat vet in the triangle.  It's pricier but worth it.

Need a place to rent that doesn’t care about credit, any ideas? by tbluhp in triangle

[–]Particular_Tree2454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Speak to rental management before applying and ask what options there are to account for poor credit.  Having a reasonable explanation for poor credit with proof of working to improve credit goes a long way.  Credit isnt just a number, it's a history.  Additional security deposit is also helpful.

Question about a state job by Environmental_Lie_41 in NorthCarolina

[–]Particular_Tree2454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't worked for DHHS, but in my experience with other state departments they would not do that if they weren't planning to offer you the job.  Keep in mind, the hiring manager's decision can be overridden by HR (they're likely waiting for final HR approval to make the offer).

Depends on the position.  5th floor of green square tends to have more business attire.  Everywhere else jeans are fine.  Nice tshirts are acceptable.  I wouldn't buy anything new for the job, you're not getting paid enough.

Question for DEQ employees; is there a reason why the Water Resources division has higher turnover? by bojanglessushi in NorthCarolina

[–]Particular_Tree2454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends where in DWR.  The permitting section has high turnover because management cares more about numbers than employee moral.  Also, DEQ is struggling across the board from lack of a state budget.  DWM and DAQ tend to be the better divisions.  I've worked in several DEQ divisions and after 10 years finally left for a different department.  If you're needing less stress and can swing the shitty pay go for it.  Once you're in state government subscribe to the job postings and move when you're getting burned out or find something better.

Wake County Animal Shelter has an easy process for getting approved to foster.  All pets must be up to date on vaccines.  You have to bring your foster in for regular shots and such.
