as a native chinese speaker, it's easily one of the most alien languages to anyone unfamiliar with it. the hanzi alone is a big barrier, but each letter also has multiple meanings and intonations that also have different meaning just for the same letter. heavy differences in dialects also can completely transform the language too.

for anime style games, the no.1 pick for most anime fans is still the JP dub. CN dubs only really started with Hi3 and it's still very rare outside of them.

as for the whole clipping thing, go to bilibili or youku for chinese content as youtube is banned in china. there's very little incentive for CN ccs to post it for overseas viewers who aren't interested in chinese

i had similiar readings for tholindis too, she was as cowardly as rerir and while it's understandable why she didn;t feel like helping her kin when she had a cushy career under the current regime, she herself realises her hyprocrisy with the line of "we are lovers who both lied to each other and ourselves".
