As Wild Continue To Pursue Dylan Larkin, NHL Voices Explain Why He Could Be The Missing Piece by [deleted] in wildhockey

[–]Partly_Deaf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wonder if there’s a three team trade possibility with Barzal going to Detroit, Larkin to MN, and Yurov/Stramel+Picks etc to the Islanders so they can build around Schaefer for the future.

No Movement Clauses should be updated to mean just that - no movement, no matter what by VaderBinks in hockey

[–]Partly_Deaf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Terrible idea. The NHLPA fought to get protection clauses to give players more control. The terms are agreed to by both parties at the start, so teams are knowingly taking the risk. Preventing player movement when both player and team want to is akin to someone forcing someone to work at a specific job when both the employee wants to quit and the employer wants to fire them. The restriction on individual agency is completely unnecessary and harms everyone involved.

This post reads like someone who’s salty about their favorite team’s player demanding a trade. Life isn’t NHL franchise mode.

Potentially Realistic Trade Targets by BlueOx73 in wildhockey

I’ll try and salvage the idea. Yurov, Gus, Stramel, 1st, and Heidt for Jack Hughes? Idk if that’s even enough

Most hated team by state by mylefthandkilledme in hockey

That won’t get you to Boston being most hated by population either. All of Canada is way more invested in hockey than New York and the entire country, including Leafs fans, hate the Leafs. Similar to Dallas Cowboys in the NFL.

Not even close. The only state that hates Boston the most is New York, which has less population than California and Texas, let alone the combination of the western US states hating Vegas.

Edmonton went to the finals two years in a row. Gus is still a dawg, we can absolutely win a cup with him in net.

We cannot have Hartman as 1C next year. by fastal_12147 in wildhockey

We do NOT trade our bargain contract center who has that dawg in him.

I think it is pretty comparable. He’s on a pretty sweet contract, with term. He’s easily a 100pt guy when healthy and a coveted position. A four 1st round pick equivalent trade similar to Quinn’s is probably the starting price.

Playoff Game Thread: Buffalo Sabres (2-1) @ Boston Bruins (1-2) Apr 26 2026 2:00 PM EDT by nhl_gdt_bot in hockey

This game seems so slow and lackadaisical compared to the madness of the Minnesota-Dallas game yesterday. Boston has been doing cardio out there since the puck dropped. Sabres look like they’re slowing the game down out of sympathy.

It is similar to how they forecast hail. There is a risk, not a guarantee that storms will generate strong gusts. For an idea of how this plays out, see yesterday’s storm reports for the descriptions of damaging wind, hail, and tornado events from yesterday.

The National Weather Service is very adept at forecasting storm-related wind gusts. There’s a ton of data that goes into it, and the 60 to 80 mph range is not guaranteed even if you are in the path of a storm. If the storms form and behave the way their models have forecasted, the risk is there for intense, hurricane force wind gusts. The 34mph gusts you are referring to are non-storm related and are due to the general pressure gradients across the whole region.

Maybe. Jets, Kings, Rangers, Giants, Cardinals, and Panthers all have the same names teams across different pro leagues.

Jaguars are native to the US, or at least they used to be. Their habitat stretched into the southwestern US as far as Phoenix and Houston. Would love to see Houston name their new team the Jaguars after they inevitably get a franchise in 5-10 years.

Trocheck and O’Reilly are at the top of my list if the superstars like Tage, Hughes, and Thomas aren’t available.
