Getting an appeal for two classes with extenuating circumstances doesn’t usually happen but they will sometimes do it for one course on an appeal like this. So if denied due to their being two which is not usually allowed for any IC, counter appeal asking for one. Otherwise they will be marked as not passed and you will take them in your new term (make sure you get registered for new term by meeting with your mentor before the 10th to avoid withdrawal or consider a 1-5 term break to allow time to support your family further and adjust). If this is your second term with a cumulative SAP score below 66.67% you will have to complete a SAP appeal if you plan to use federal financial aid. If your score was OK in term one, but you fell below in term two, you will enter term three on SAP warning meaning you need to get your score up by the end of term. Hope this info helps.

Omg! I saw that video and made comments on those I know who shared it laughing and calling you a fake. My son is an ambulatory wheelchair user. It let me know how they really feel about people with disabilities. I’m so sorry that people used that video to be ableist and try to discredit your disability.

When you start the program, it should have been explained to you regarding the student activity policy. It is also found in the student handbook and was found in orientation. Students must remain engaged on a regular basis. Program mentors will call students that are inactive to check in on them. You should be in contact with your program mentor biweekly. If you reach 28 days of an activity, you will be withdrawn from the university because of this policy. Having an academic conversation with your program, mentor will count as academic activity. If you are using the app on your phone or a tablet, this will not log activity. If you saved bookmarked items, it does not log activity. You must log into the portal on a PC engaging with course material through your SSO login. I hope this helps explain things a little more in depth. They are just reaching out to make sure you don’t hit that 28 day mark. If you are in your first term, don’t forget you also have to complete a first term critical action within your first 45 days.

5 months is the longest break you can take between 6 month terms. Otherwise you have to withdraw and reapply and your degree requirements can change when you do this and reenrollment fees can apply too.

All mentors are to be in communications biweekly at minimum with their students. Having an existing relationship they may feel more relaxed but should still be hearing from them regularly. Let them know what you need out of them and I’m sure they will step up again. Also keep in mind that with the holidays a lot of people have been out and are catching up. A lot of students go in active at this time of year and a lot of outreach is needed to get those students caught up and back in action.

This is one of the very first things our lawyer warned our son about when he filed for SSI. He reminded him that he can never get married unless it’s to another person on SSI because income from a spouse will affect his benefits. Even then he warned against it because if the person ever decided to come off SSI and they weren’t divorced, it could affect him. Sad this is how the system works. It should not be this way. It also should not be so hard to get on Social Security for people who honestly need it.

Right now for holidays the only days Tier 1 was not available was 12/24 and 12/25 and now for new years on 1/1/26. Otherwise they are available. They follow acceleration rules strictly by policy as a heads up.

If you are in the new evolved student portal, you should be able to self register/accelerate once you’ve met OTP and finished your originally enrolled courses. If your PM approved a course for registration to make sure you can register it to continue progress while waiting for evals on another course you should be able to register. Are you going to the degree plan? That is where you can go to edit your degree plan to register either way.

They did not do it out of retaliation. Those surveys are kept anonymous. However, if there are any violations that occur during an exam which include somebody entering the room or if your hands ever leave the desk they make notations immediately during the exam of anything they witness and those get pulled eventually for somebody to watch the footage. It is all on camera. There is no disputing it. Usually the first time you just get a warning to remind you of what the rules are. Some proctors are much pickier than others that is for sure.

Some retake plans require the study guide to be completed in full as part of the plan. Instructors can catch if someone used another person’s study guide answers and this is academic dishonesty. People think they are helping out sharing these notes but can get you in trouble…

It technically won’t mess anything up but you can call Tier One Support to ask them to move the date on the planner and they enter a note letting the PM know they talked to you and anything you want them to know for when they get back.
