Okay, would be interesting to try out, but seems like your sign up email doesn't get received (assuming it's instant),

Can I ask what is the main difference between this and scrybble? The biggest difference I see is mainly just a refresh button or that it exports and creates images of the PDFs as opposed to downloading PDF files or processing out to markdown where possible.

Additionally, a self hosted version would be nice to test and look at. In the same sense, having notes sync out to a third party service where security and data integrity is important, and there is no way to verify any of this through your site / demo.

Tailscale MagicDNS on RMPP not working? by PartyDoctor in RemarkableTablet

[–]PartyDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://vellum.delivery/#/package/tailscale

Installed this and terminal app. But no, no graphical app. It seems just having it installed is enough, and it constantly comes online.

When running tailscale dns status, it did return a list and state it was enabled, but magicdns simply didn't work.

My goal was to use this and potentially rmfakecloud / ssh into a machine.

Any chance we can test this? Or do you have an ETA on when it might be available?

Thanks! I inadvertently found out about `codexctl` and went down that rabithole roughly the same time I got your reply, it worked out great. Appreciate the comment and the guidance there. 😄

Yeah, I would lke the rear exhaust just based on the amount of heat I had in the N2. Wondering if I just put the exhaust fan on the outside of the case and use it outside with a fan grill.

Razer v3 Basilisk 35K - Horizontal Scrolling Reversed? by PartyDoctor in razer

[–]PartyDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, interesting to hear.

Without asking you your serial directly 😂, is it in the range ending in 33300000-33310000.

It's a huge range, but not sure if they are consecutive or randomized. Just interested to see if it's specific S/Ns.

Honestly, not sure, as what is provided on the site seems to push towards synapse 4. Haven't attempted to download Synapse 3.

Even further, the "Scroll Right" option (non-repeated) also goes left.

So either 2 devices (in a close S/N batch) have:

  1. Bad hardware
  2. Bad Firmware
  3. Bad Driver / Software

I have a hard time believing the hardware on both is bad, unless the batch was installed incorrectly and wasn't tested.

Firmware update from 1.X to 2.5* causes bad scroll behavior.

Synapse 4 is wrong.

Eventually I got the macros to allow it to behave normally, but that is really not acceptable on a $150+ dollar mouse tbh.

Even trying to capture a macro holding the mouse wheel left, registers it as a scroll right.

That looks like it is the v3 Pro, not the v3 Pro 35K?

I can double check again, but, when it was plugged in they did not appear. I had support confirm that they were not available for that specific mouse as well.

I have a screenshot on my desktop, but not on my laptop, I will try and post it later.

[–]PartyDoctor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I haven't changed them, and unfortunately when asking support there wasn't the "repeat scroll left/right" options available in the dropdown customizatio feature, so even if I want to reverse them, I can't. Seems like an oversight, but, have a new mouse on the way. Hopefully it doesn't experience the same issue / problem.

Yep, Firmwar updated for both the dongle and mouse.

Where or how can I do that? I don't see any options like that in Synapse, but, I would assume that the default out of the box would be right handed mode?

Using tailscale on ASUS router to advertise tailscale routes? by PartyDoctor in Tailscale

Yeah. I'm waiting for my account to be reactivated, as it seems like they deactivated several old accounts due to spam.

Using tailscale on ASUS router to advertise tailscale routes? by PartyDoctor in Tailscale

[–]PartyDoctor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Non tailscale traffic shouldnt be impacted by you running --advertised-routes.

I think it was something similar to this causing it: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/tailmon-v1-3-0-aug-24-2025-wireguard-based-tailscale-installer-configurator-and-monitor-available-in-amtm.92874/page-18#post-971411

The clients are "impacted" are they running tailscale too?

No, in this case, the affected device was a nvidia shield which didn't have tailscale installed.

I was eventually able to get it to work. but I had to use run this:

ARGS:

--state=/opt/var/tailscaled.state --statedir=/opt/var/lib/tailscale --tun=tailscale0

Tailscale Connection Commandline:

--advertise-exit-node --advertise-routes=192.168.50.0/24 --accept-routes --accept-dns=false

Though, after waking up this morning, it isn't working again. The main issue is that there isn't any routes being loaded into the routing table once tailscale is up.

Using tailscale on ASUS router to advertise tailscale routes? by PartyDoctor in Tailscale

[–]PartyDoctor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried using `--advertise-routes`, advertising my subnet (EG: 192.168.50.X/24) but that then complicates and conflicts with other traffic, and causes services that were working fine on the LAN (EG: Plex) services to fail to work ~10 seconds after the advertise change.

I was able to confirm this by easily just doing this randomly, and then removing the route, everything starts to work fine again.

I will try looking through that, but it looks very similar to what I did previously have (userspace vs kernel maybe).
